Red Sands Country Lodge Kuruman - Red Sands Country Lodge is one of those rare and precious gems, tucked away in the Kuruman Hills. The camping site is well-maintained and comes equipped with power points and braai areas for that great South African braai. There are also wash areas available and a very neat ablusion block. The ballroom thatched lapa is a great venue to host functions, conferences or weddings and can host up to 160 guests. The pool bar is a great place to unwind and relax with a cool refreshment next to the sparkling swimming pool. The Jakkalsgata la carte restaurant has a reputation for serving the best steaks in and around Kuruman, but the menu also boasts a whole variety of meals to suit all tastes and tantalize all sorts of tastebuds. For active guests, a 10km hiking trail will take you to see panoramic views as well as let you marvel at over 50 species of endemic birdlife.

KURUMAN TO THE KGALAGADI (TRAVEL KRUGER TO CAPETOWN VLOG 1)
A TOTAL OF 64 DAYS AND 11347KM WAS MY ENTIRE ROUND TRIP
I started filming in Kuruman a small town a few hundred kilometres from the Kgalagadi.
We drove from Hoedspruit to Jhb on day1 then on day2 we drove from Jhb to Kuruman and day 3 we drove to the Twee Revieren Gate.

Kuruman - CBD drive - Northern Cape, South Africa
So I decided to take a long drive to the Northern Cape. The Northern Cape is South Africa largest province in size, but also its smallest in terms of population. I visited Kuruman, a small mining town with a population of just over 13 000 people. Agriculture, cattle farming, is also pretty big around Kuruman. I drove around the CBD of the town which is pretty busy place as you'll see.

Kuruman to Upington - Drive - Northern Cape, South Africa
After visting Kuruman, I decided to take a trip to Upington. I will upload one of the Upington videos next week. This was a pretty straight drive on the N14 to Upington from Kuruman. I just liked the scenery and vegetation, looks very dry and arid.

Riding to Bray & Kuruman. Making my way towards the Kalahari Desert - Hardest ride so far!
I left Wondergat to make my way to Bray. My phone was stolen off my bike in Mahikeng and then endured one of the hardest rides I have done so far. I left Bray the next morning and made my way past Toska and rode down to Kuruman. Officially entered the Northern Cape.
