Kragerø, Norway - City Tour & Drone, 4k
Kragerø is a coastal town in the Norwegian region of Vestfold og Telemark. The approach to the city from the sea is bordered by a beautiful archipelago of small islands delimited by narrow winding straits.
Every summer, the population of the city increases by 4 times, because Kragerø is a favorite vacation spot for Norwegians. It is considered the Norwegian Riviera and a paradise for all boaters.
Even the famous Norwegian artist Edvard Munch called the town of Kragerø the pearl of the coastal cities of Norway.
The city is located on several islands, and a cliff rises above the city with wide viewing platforms equipped with benches and a map. From the observation deck, Steinmann the entire city and the surrounding archipelago of islands are visible at a glance.
By the way, it was in the city of Kragerø that the famous Norwegian illustrator Theodor Kittelsen was born, famous for his landscapes and drawings on mythological subjects, primarily images of trolls for children's books. His drawings are very often found on souvenirs throughout Norway.
The city has a well-developed ferry service. Directly behind the multi-colored building of the municipality of Kragerø, there is a pier from where small ferries leave on schedule to distant islands.
In the city center is a yellow three-story building with a tiled roof, this is the railway station of the city of Kragerø (Kragerø Jernbanestasjon). In 1927 the railway from Lunde to Kragerø was opened. But the railroad no longer exists here since 1989.
On the small island of Gunnarsholmen, there is an old fort in the 18th and 19th centuries that served to protect Kragerø from warships and pirates. Today, the guns at Fort Gunnarsholmen only fire on Norway's Independence Day, 17 May. Also today there is a guest harbor of the city with a recreation area, a sandy beach, and a large pool filled with seawater.

Last few days of 2021 were left out and just thought to take a day off from my hectic schedule. Around 300 kms of drive, a day journey to Kragerø . It was fun, it was cold and the small city was a perfect winter town for a week end trip.

2 Days in Kragerø | Norway Travel Vlog
We travelled to Kragerø city in the south eastern part of Norway. We stayed at the lovely spa & golf hotel Kragerø Resort for 2 days and had such a lovely time.
The first day we went to the spa and had lovely dinner. The second day we had spa treatment, went to the spa area and had dinner at Kragerø Resort before taking a small ferry to Kragerø city centre. In the city we had some more food and drinks before sightseeing. We went inside a cool mine, and walked to an amazing viewpoint over Kragerø.
