Exploring remote, lesser known paradise destinations is my favorite hobby. Or, job. Same same but different? 😂
Anyway, can you believe this is in JAPAN!!! 😻 Share it to someone who wouldn’t believe it and maybe drop a comment if you’re surprised (yes low key hint for engagement).
I’ve been to Japan 5 times now and before this last trip had always wanted to go to Okinawa, so this time, for my “vacation” I finally went! And it was AMAZING!
And also slightly difficult bc it was just before their high season which meant a lot of things weren’t open all the time or running, but also way less people which o greatly enjoyed!
I figured out how to use translate app to get taxis, and also the ferry to get to this location, which is a part of even smaller islands and where the most beautiful beaches I found were.
It was also pretty cheap to get a flight roundtrip from Tokyo, and accommodation was way bigger and cheaper there!

We’ll give you a list of 11 top things to do in Okinawa, based on our experience. This is in no case an extensively list of the top things to do in Okinawa Japan but there is still so much more you can do.
One thing was that we were planning to rent a car in Okinawa to drive around to many other places but our Mauritian Driving License was not welcomed in Okinawa. That definitely shorted down our list of Okinawa Things To Do by a lot!
That said, we don’t regret it and we still had an amazing time! So, watch the video for the full list of the 11 best things to do in Okinawa from our perspective! We’ll write down a few of the top things to do in Okinawa here, so that you get a before taste:

1. One Okinawa Must do/ Okinawa Must See and Do is definitely going to the beach as it is known as the hawaii of Japan! We went to Araha Beach in Chatan we loved it. We did not swim but the waters were clear! It’s also one of the cheap things to do in Okinawa! You don’t have to pay for the beach, unlike in some other countries!
2. Another one of Okinawa Things to See is the American Village. It’s important to note that Okinawa has a lot of American influence and that’s why it’s no surprised that you can see an American village there!
3. But probably the best things to do in Okinawa Japan for us was food, we loved the food a lot. Check out the video to see where we went for the best Ramen! IT WAS SO GOOD! And we showed some other places to eat too!
4. Part of Things to do in Naha Okinawa is visiting the Kokusai Street for shopping and food! Watch the video to know exactly where we ate some good seafood grill!

NAHA, OKINAWA - Okinawa is an island in southern Japan, yet its culture and food are vastly different from what you typically think of as Japanese. Today I’m hanging out with my friend Yuji-San and we’re going to take you on an ultimate Okinawan food tour!

1. MEGURO miso soup stand: - We started off for the greatest ever rice ball and craft miso soup. It was a totally new experience and appreciation for miso soup. Total price - 2,800 JPY
2. Tofu Soba at Takaesu Soba: - In Okinawa, soba is totally different from the buckwheat noodles you get in other parts of Japan. Okinawan soba is something nearly everyone eats for lunch and it’s more similar to ramen with wheat noodles and pork ribs. We went to this special place for their tofu soba. Total price - 2,770 JPY
3. Ice snow cones at Fujiya Tomari: - Another thing you have to try in Okinawa is their snow cones. Price - 1,350 JPY for everything
4. Okinawan Izakaya at Urizun: - In order get a taste of traditional Okinawan food, we went to Urizun. Again, dishes were totally different from anywhere else I’ve bee. Price - 9,353 JPY for everything
5. Goat Sashimi at Nijuban (20th) Goat Restaurant: - Finally there was one meal I was not going to leave Okinawa without trying - goat sashimi! Price - 3,400 JPY for everything

I have been wanting to go to Okinawa for years and finally made it! Although it is fair to say there is Okinawa and then there is Okinawa. The main island is much different from the islands and it's worth doing a bit of research before you book your trip.
So I am bringing you with me, first to Naha the capital of Okinawa, and easily accessible via Naha Airport, also a great gateway to together places. I will show you around, Kokusai street, Makishi Market, and Naminoue Beach, and also show you the Pork Tamago a Sandwich like no other and a must-eat when on the island. It is so good you will miss this once you had it....

My solo trip to Okinawa, Japan’s paradise
Okinawa is the southernmost prefecture in Japan, and its warm climate and beautiful beaches attract many tourists.
Everywhere in Okinawa there are incredibly beautiful beaches. I enjoyed snorkeling so much. The waters are crystal clear and full of colorful fish. I took videos even underwater, but unfortunately the data was broken and I can't show you those lovely fishes.
Anyway, I had a great time during my short summer vacation there.
Join us as we Walk through 15th century ruins of the Nakagusuku castle. The Castle is just one of many points of interest Okinawa has to offer and is one of Okinawa's best travel destinations. #kumado

Visit Okinawa Japan Four Seasons Winter
Learn more about Okinawa : Okinawa Prefecture forms the southwestern tip of Japan. It is comprised of 160 islands and has a population of approximately 1.4 million. Okinawa is located along the similar latitude as Hawaii, Miami, Cancun and other popular world resort areas. Due to the subtropical oceanic climate, it is warm even in winter, with an annual average temperature of approximately 23°C and water temperature of around 25°C.
With the earliest sakura blooming season in Japan, hanami is a winter activity in Okinawa. Favourite sites like Mount Yaedake, Nago central park, and the Nakijin castle ruins will not fail to amaze you with their vivid colors. The Ocean Expo Park featuring the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is a must and displays one of the rare specimens of whale sharks in captivity. Winter is also the best season for whale watching with a very high encounter chance with the majestic humpback whales. Scuba divers will make sure not to miss the thousands of hammerhead sharks gathering off the coasts of Yonaguni island. For visitors looking forward to relax and reenergize, a hop to the remarkable yet lesser known Motobu hot springs will deliver the sought after revitalization.
