Don't Trust This Man In Egypt 🇪🇬
Travel Creators (FREE): Travel Creator School (PAID):
Cairo, Egypt ➖ When I saw a local boy setting up shop and selling some corn on the streets of Cairo, I knew I needed to give it a taste test. I approached him and asked for one, he then communicated with some of his friends to give the price to me in English, around $0.40.
As per normal, he fired up the charcoal and on the cob went, to roast away to crisp darkness. He saw the camera and with hand gestures suggested he held it while I became the corn man. Of course, I accepted and was the newest corn man in time.
All was going well and the corn was finished when I gave it a bite and was pleased with my cooking skills. I gave him around $1 for the service, with the language barrier I thought he was giving it back to me. But after suggesting with hand signals and tone, it was clear he wanted more. I pulled out my wallet.. (stupid idea) and let him grab whatever he wanted. A couple moments later I was $5 poorer and amused at what just happened.

MUST-EAT Egyptian Street Food in Cairo, Egypt 🇪🇬

Cairo, Egypt - Day two in Egypt and I’m ready to stuff my face with Egyptian Food! Inspired by last night’s dinner at El Prince Restaurant I can’t wait to dive deeper into Egyptian cuisine with local friends, and inevitably, learn a lot more about Egyptian culture in the process...
We start with a traditional Egyptian Breakfast at Ful Waheed in the Ramses neighborhood of Cairo, Egypt. Ful is stewed fava beans with tahini, cumin, chili powder, and other spices topped with a generous amount of oil and the option of raw hot peppers and red onions. Served with a ton of veggies, tahini, chips, and Ful Waheed’s famous Shrimp Fries.
Next up, we walk through Cairo’s largest market and most famous bazaar; Khan el-Khalili. This is definitely one of the best things to do in Cairo. We stop for tea at El Fishawi Cafe before lunch.
For an Egyptian Street Food lunch, we go to Koshary Abo Tarek in Cairo for Egypt’s National Dish - Koshary. A blue collar dish that has rice, pasta, lentils, chickpeas (hummus), fried onions, and topped with a seasoned tomato sauce. Koshary (or Kushari or Koshari) is a hearty bowl of carbs that would be enough to eat for a day by itself… we press on!
For a quick mid-day Egyptian street food desert, El Karnak in Cairo serves Combella, an Egyptian food classic that is a delicious combination of rice pudding, Kunafa, Basbousa, mango and strawberry juice, homemade cream, and fresh fruit.
One more tea break at Mohamed Salad Coffee Shop in downtown Cairo, Egypt and then it’s time for dinner at one of the best restaurants in Cairo or Giza.
Hawawshi El Rabea in Imbaba Giza is said to be the best restaurant in Egypt for this traditional Egyptian street food.
Hawawshi is thin, seasoned beef patties wrapped in traditional Egyptian bread and grilled on a flattop. It is served with tahini and vegetables.
The coolest thing about this spot is that they actually own the butcher shop right across the street as well to ensure the freshest, best quality meat in their Hawashi. And the owner Wael Rabe, is meticulous about his craft. (sound bite)
On top of the flying meat patties, they also feature other signature dishes like Molokhia, roasted meat and potatoes, Macaroni with tomato sauce and meat and Kebda, garlic and seasoned Liver with hot peppers, lemon, and bell peppers all grilled up on the flattop.
Of course, we’ll try them all, but no doubt Hawawshi is the star of the show here.
I hope you all loved this Egyptian Street Food Vlog from here in Cairo, Egypt as much as we did making it! ❤️ If so, please hit that 👍 button, and leave a comment!

IS EGYPT SAFE FOR WOMEN?
I just wanted to wrap up this Travel Deeper Egypt Series with a very simple, quick video based on the most frequently asked question while I was traveling here… Is it safe for women to travel Egypt on their own?
I wanted to make this a separate video so it wouldn’t get lost in the full Egypt Travel Guide. So, if you haven’t seen that one make sure you watch that next:
As a 6’2”, 200lb American man, it’s difficult for me to give you a realistic response on women’s safety in Egypt, so while traveling around the country we stopped and asked women their first-hand experience...
TALK TO THE WOMEN DIRECTLY: Averi - Mashon - Lora - Cherisse - Alex -
A lot of people commented in the full Egypt Travel Guide video that “why deal with the hassle of going to Egypt with all these problems” and too that I say, if don’t correctly, the juice is 100% worth the squeeze. It is one of the most historically significant places on the planet.
It is definitely a place for more advanced travelers that want to embrace the adventure, and if you’re not a well-seasoned traveler; my best advice is to just find a really good guide.
Truthfully, the place you will have the most issues on your entire trip is the Pyramids of Giza. 13 teens just got arrested for harassing girls, and they were just as aggressive with us. They just surround you and want selfies - but there is no real danger in this.
I compare Egypt to Brazil - in brazil you need to watch your belongings and you could be robbed at any moment, where as in Egypt, you will just be heckled and people will try to talk you out of your money vs forcefully.
If you are a woman who has been to Egypt, it would be amazing if you share your experience in the comments below for others to follow.
And with that being said, that’s an official wrap on this first Egypt series - Next up a few videos from my adopted hometown of San Diego and then its off to Croatia!
I hope you enjoyed this Egypt Travel Guide about Is Egypt Safe for Women as much as we did making it! ❤️ If so, please hit that 👍 button, and leave a comment!

The Egyptian pyramids are ancient masonry structures located in Egypt. Sources cite at least 138 identified Egyptian pyramids. Most were built as tombs for the country's pharaohs and their consorts during the Old and Middle Kingdom periods.
The most famous Egyptian pyramids are those found at Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo. Several of the Giza pyramids are counted among the largest structures ever built. The Pyramid of Khufu is the largest Egyptian pyramid. It is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still in existence; this is despite being the oldest wonder
In this Vegan food vlog we show you some interesting vegan eats in Dallas Texas. True Food Kitchen is a nice upscale healthy restaurant located in Addison Circle Park area. It was a fancy restaurant that partenered up with Dr. Andrew Weil to create a menu based on the anti-inflammatory diet. We tried the only Egyptian restaurant in Texas but I'd give it 3 stars overall. We've had some of the best Egyptian food and have actually traveled to Egypt.

Turkish Food
Turkish cuisine (Turkish: Türk mutfağı) is largely the heritage of Ottoman cuisine, which can be described as a fusion and refinement of Central Asian, Middle Eastern and Balkan cuisines.[1][2] Turkish cuisine has in turn influenced those and other neighbouring cuisines, including those of Western Europe. The Ottomans fused various culinary traditions of their realm with influences from Middle Eastern cuisines, along with traditional Turkic elements from Central Asia (such as yogurt), creating a vast array of specialities—many with strong regional associations.
