Specifically, it is a local water committee discussing ways to improve the town's water supply (the IRC has dug a well and installed a generator to pump the water to scores of water points in the town). We backtrack some and arrive at our second location that is still around 125 miles east of Atbara. We get in a little detecting and soon learn that if trash was gold we would all be rich. We talk to some local prospectors and I help them get their machines adjusted properly. One gentleman had been hunting with wither an Etrac or Explorer I can't remember which right now. He said he had found about 200 grams of gold since using it.
