Road Trip in Pakistan. This video my Road Trip from Jacobabad city to Shikarpur, Sukkur, Pano Aqil, Ghotki, Mirpur Mathelo & Daharki in the Pakistani province Sindh. It is my road trip travel vlog in 2019. Pakistani cities are beautiful, the weather is almost hot in this part of the Sindh. Pakistan, officially the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, is a country in South Asia. It is the world's fifth-most populous country with a population exceeding 212.2 million. By area, it is the 33rd-largest country, spanning 881,913 square kilometers. Sindh is one of the four provinces of Pakistan. Located in the southeast of the country, it is the historical home of the Sindhi people. Sindh is the third largest province of Pakistan by area and second-largest province by population after Punjab. Jacobabad is a city in Sindh, Pakistan, serving as both the capital city of Jacobabad District and the administrative center of Jacobabad Taluka, an administrative subdivision of the district. The city itself is subdivided into 8 Union Councils. Shikarpur Śikārpūr is a small city and the capital of the Shikarpur District in Sindh province of Pakistan. It is situated about 29 km west of the right bank of the Indus, with a railway station, 37 km north-west of Sukkur. According to the 2017 Census of Pakistan, its population is 195,437. Sukkur is a city in the Pakistani province of Sindh along the western bank of the Indus River, directly across from the historic city of Rohri. Sukkur is the third-largest city in Sindh after Karachi and Hyderabad, and the 14th largest city in Pakistan. Pano Aqil, is a tehsil of Sukkur District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is located approximately 40 kilometers north of the city of Sukkur. It consists of 12 union councils In 2006, the population of Pano Akil was estimated to be 73,000. Ghotki, is a city in northern Sindh, Pakistan. It is the headquarters of Ghotki District and Ghotki Taluka. According to the 2017 Census of Pakistan, it is the 87th largest city of Pakistan with a population of 111,321. Mirpur Mathelo is a city in Ghotki District, Sindh province, Pakistan. The city is administratively subdivided into ten union councils. According to the 2017 Census of Pakistan, it is the 95th largest city of Pakistan with a population of 100,760. At world one of the hottest city Jacobabad in Pakistan, temperature uproots locals and shrinks livelihood
Every year half of residents of Jacobabad – world’s one of the world's hottest cities – go to seasonal migration for around six months. They stay cooler places of the country until the sizzling summer is gone.
To avoid sizzling days which on average crosses 50 Celsius (122 Fahrenheit) locals, most of residents move to country’s cooler areas like Quetta, Karachi, Hyderabad and Punjab’s cities in search of livelihoods for next six months or so till hot weather vanishes. According to district administration, every year half of the 200,000 residents of Jacobabad in Pakistan’s Sindh migrate to cold areas.
Jacobabad is situated along the Tropic of Cancer. According to district administration, the natural phenomenon of Tropic of Cancer affects Jacobabad in a way that sun appears directly overhead at noon. That also means sun light or heat intensity remains at Jacobabad than rest of world.
Jacobabad lies in Sindh on Balochistan border. It is widely known as rice belt area due to abundance of rice cultivation and rice factories.
While some have permanent houses at places where they migrate, many share rented places. Others who cannot afford keep the family at Jacobabad.
Pakistan is among top world nations to face the consequences of global warming. Jacobabad was already on heat triggering path and on average intensity of heat has increased in recent years.
In 2020 a research of Loughborough University revealed that Pakistan’s Jacobabad and Ras al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates have “crossed the deadly threshold of heat that human body can withstand.
Laborers who are exposed to sun say during sizzling summers it is almost impossible to work. Weather condition also demands for air-condition and uninterrupted supply of power. However for poor men it is not possible to afford both.
In October 2021, Amnesty International, a United Kingdom based international non-governmental organization focused on human rights published a photo essay about Jacobabad heat phenomenon. The collection tilted “Unliveable for Humans”, says “on at least four occasions since 1987, temperatures and humidity levels have reached a threshold described by experts as “hotter than a human body can handle,” one of only two cities in the world to reach that unenviable status.”
Document says climate change led crisis is impacting on the rights to health, education, and a healthy environment for the people of Jacobabad.
Calling the world powers to take adequate climate adaptation measures, report points out that, “Jacobabad’s ability to cope with the extreme weather has been exacerbated by rampant deforestation and energy shortages, as well as a lack of access to water and adequate housing. Most schools do not have electricity and remain largely inaccessible, due to lack of public transport.”

In this Balochistan travelling vlog we traveled on N-65 and Bolan Pass. The Bolān Pass is a mountain pass through the Toba Kakar Range of Balochistan province in western Pakistan, 120 km from the Afghanistan border. It connects Sibi with Quetta both by road and railway. The pass itself is made up of a number of narrow gorges and stretches 89 km (55 miles) from Rindli north to Darwāza near Kolpur in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. Bolan Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.793m (5,884ft) above the sea level .

There is an amazing view of a tunnel and bridge over a river on the railway track from Rohri to Quetta. The track passes through 20 tunnels and over 368 bridges. It is the longest Railway gradient of world, and most scenic Railway ride of Asia.

Victoria Tower is a most significant, 60-feet high imperial monument of Jacobabad town in Pakistan's Sindh province.
According to information available on internet, the monument was built in 1887. The was designed by Col. S.S. Jacob (one of the blood relatives of the founder of the town, Gen. John Jacob). The tower was built to commemorate the Jubilee Celebrations of British Queen Victoria, as mentioned in the plaque installed in the middle of the tower at the height of about 10 feet.
