Fereydunkenar is one of the coastal cities of Mazandaran province. It is bordered by the Caspian Sea to the north, Babolsar to the east, Mahmudabad to the west, and Babol and Amol to the south. Fereydunkenar (formerly Farikkenar village) has been a city since 1320. However, in terms of political divisions, it was a rural district in Babol city until the 1970s, and in this decade it has changed from a rural district to a district and since 2007 it has also become a city.Babolsar is one of the coastal cities of Mazandaran province, in northern Iran, between the Caspian Sea and the Alborz mountain range. This city is the center of Babolsar city. The population of Babolsar according to the census of 1995 is equal to 59966 people.
In the past, this city flourished as a port and trade center of Iran and Russia. During the Qajar period, this city was a port of shipping and trade and one of the eastern ports of the Caspian Sea.
فِرِیدون‌کِنار یکی از شهرهای ساحلی استان مازندران است. این شهرستان از شمال با دریای مازندران، از شرق با شهرستان بابلسر و از غرب هم‌مرز با شهرستان محمودآباد و از جنوب با شهرستان‌های بابل و آمل همسایه است. فریدونکنار (سابقاً روستای فری‌کنار) از سال ۱۳۲۰ شهر شده است با این وجود از لحاظ تقسیمات سیاسی تا دهه هفتاد شمسی به صورت دهستانی در شهرستان بابل بوده و در این دهه از دهستان به بخشداری تبدیل و از سال ۱۳۸۶ نیز شهرستان شده‌است.
بابُلْسَر یکی از شهرهای ساحلی استان مازندران، در شمال ایران، بین دریای مازندران و رشته کوه البرز قرار دارد. این شهر مرکز شهرستان بابلسر است. جمعیت بابلسر براساس سرشماری سال ۹۵ معادل ۵۹۹۶۶ نفر می‌باشد.
این شهر در گذشته به عنوان بندر و مرکز تجارت ایران و روسیه رونق داشت. این شهر در دورة قاجار، بندر کشتیرانی و بازرگانی و از بنادر شرقی دریای خزر بوده‌است.

Babolsar County is a county on the Caspian Sea, in Mazandaran Province of northern Iran.
The driving distance from Tehran is about 235 km.
Babolsar is located on the southern coast of the Caspian Sea. Since the Babol river passes through the city, both the bank of the river and the beach of the sea form tourist attractions in the city. The city is home to the major faculties of the University of Mazandaran. Babolsar has an area of 446 square kilometers.
The city acquired its current name in 1927. The city's historic name is MaÞhad-e Sar or Mashhadsar, meaning the special way to Mashhad, referring to the only road connecting the northwest of Iran to the northeast, including Mashhad, which passed through Babolsar. By the 18th century, Babolsar had become a busy commercial port. During the reign of Nadir Shah, it was the base for Iran's Caspian fleet. By 1909, the port yielded 12 percent of the total customs revenue of Iran. However, by 1895, ports in Gilan were already competing with Babolsar.
During Reza Shah's reign, Babolsar lost much of its remaining trade to the new port of Bandar-e Shah at the terminus of the trans-Iranian railroad. The cargo handled at Babolsar in the years of 1935 and 1936 was only 25,000 tons. A modern quarter and a hotel were built during this period. The end of World War II brought a new era of vitality to the city as a summer seaside resort for people from Tehran, which gave rise to a new phase of rapid expansion. Babolsar's population increased from about 3,500 in 1945 to 11,781 in 1966 and 18,810 in 1976.
You can go boating in the Caspian Sea in all months of the year. Many locals make money from the Caspian coast, one of which is renting horses to travelers. In summer, with the warming of the air and sea water, the beach authorities set up a swimming area for men and women, allowing travelers to swim and sunbathe in the Caspian Sea without any worries. Near the sea and the beach, hotels and inns and private villas are rented to travelers at reasonable prices. You can even take a taxi to the beach easily and you do not need a personal car.
If you are interested in seafood you can try the most delicious taste of Caspian sea fish like Caviar with high-quality of vegetable-mixed rice. Also various types of sea birds are cooked skillfully in special Mazandarany cooking instruction in winters. Famous restaurants are Mizban, Shilat bar, Shoopeh, Varesh and etc. There is a lot of fast food restaurants for eating such as pizza, sandwich, Hot dog and so on.

Babol (Persian: بابل, About this soundpronunciation (help·info), Known as Orange Blossom City , also Romanized as Bābol; formerly known as Barfrouch)[2] is the capital of Babol County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. Babol is divided into two metropolitan areas (under Iranian law). At the 2012 census, its population was 219,467, in 66,944 families.
Babol is located in the north of Iran, between the northern slopes of the Alborz Mountains and southern coast of the Caspian Sea. Babol is on the north-east of Tehran and is one of the most important cities in the north of Iran. It is the region's chief center. Babol is a new name for the site of the ancient city of Mamatir, that then was named as Barforush. The city receives abundant rainfall. It is famous for its orange groves, for which it is dubbed the city of orange blossoms
Founded in the 16th century, it was built on the site of the ancient city of Mamtir (deriving from Mah Mithra great Mithra). Mithra or 'The Mediator' was believed to be the savior of creation from the threat of darkness and the one who stands between the light of Ahura Mazda and the darkness of Ahriman. Babol was formerly called Barforushdeh (meaning Market town) and Barforush afterwards. The city was later named Barforoush, which literally means market town. In 1931, the founder of the Pahlavi Dynasty Reza Shah (1878-1944) ordered urban planning efforts to commence in the city and changed its name to Babol, which means city with abundant water supply
The city is located approximately 20 kilometers south of Caspian Sea on the west bank of BabolRud River and receives abundant annual rainfall. Babol borders Babolsar and Fereydunkenar to the north, Qaem Shahr and Shirgah District to the east, Savadkuh to the southeast, Firuzkuh to the South and Amol to the west. Babol University is famous for its spectacular scenery.
The ruins of Shah Abbas I's palace are located in the city. Mohammad Hassan Khan bridge is also one of the most ancient buildings of Mazandaran. It was built by the king Mohammad Hassan Khan Qajar, the ancestor of Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar as the main road from Babol to Amol. Now it is known as the old road of Babol to Amol. Another nice scenery is Babol Noshirvani Park, which is the biggest park including playground located in the north part of Iran, located almost in the vicinity of Caspian Sea. Babol is home to important and intact forests and jungles. for instance, Shiadeh, the unique and intact forest, is located in south-east Babol. Shiadeh is the name of a rural area near the jungle.

Iran street walk with Babolsar river side walking streetBabolsar is located on the southern coast of the Caspian Sea. Since the Babol river passes through the city, both the bank of the river and the beach of the sea form tourist attractions in the city. The city is home to the major faculties of the University of Mazandaran. Babolsar has an area of 446 square kilometers.
The city acquired its current name in 1927. The city's historic name is MaÞhad-e Sar or Mashhadsar, meaning the special way to Mashhad, referring to the only road connecting the northwest of Iran to the northeast, including Mashhad, which passed through Babolsar. By the 18th century, Babolsar had become a busy commercial port. During the reign of Nadir Shah, it was the base for Iran's Caspian fleet. By 1909, the port yielded 12 percent of the total customs revenue of Iran. However, by 1895, ports in Gilan were already competing with Babolsar.
During Reza Shah's reign, Babolsar lost much of its remaining trade to the new port of Bandar-e Shah at the terminus of the trans-Iranian railroad. The cargo handled at Babolsar in the years of 1935 and 1936 was only 25,000 tons. A modern quarter and a hotel were built during this period. The end of World War II brought a new era of vitality to the city as a summer seaside resort for people from Tehran, which gave rise to a new phase of rapid expansion. Babolsar's population increased from about 3,500 in 1945 to 11,781 in 1966 and 18,810 in 1976.
