Suur Munamägi translation Great Egg Mountain is the highest peak in Estonia (and the Baltic states), reaching 318 meters (1,043 ft) above sea level. It is located near the village of Haanja, in Võru County in the south-eastern corner of Estonia, close to the borders of both Latvia and Russia. The landscape around the peak - the Haanja Upland - is gently hilly.

The territory of Võrumaa covers 2,305 km2 (890 sq mi) and is influenced by a temperate seasonal climate. In January 2013 Võru County had a population of 32,806, 2.5% of the total population in Estonia. The county is subdivided into 12 rural municipalities and one urban municipality, the county capital, Võru.

The locality of Sillamäe was first mentioned in 1502 when the area was under the control of Livonian Order. The bridge across Sõtke and a mill in Sillamäe were documented in 1700.

Valaste Waterfall is the highest waterfall in Estonia and neighboring regions (30.5 m) situated between Ontika and Valaste in the Toila Parish of the Ida-Viru County and formed by a stream, as it flows over the Baltic Klint not far from the shore of the Gulf of Finland. It is a popular tourist attraction with its spray freezing up in winter.
There is a parking lot, some explanatory signs, and a trail using a double spiral staircase to get down the cliff. Opposite of the waterfall, a viewing platform has been built, and this offers views of the falls.
The platform went out of service and the stairs to it were closed since 2013. A new staircase with platforms and walkways to the shore of the Gulf of Finland has been built and opened to the public in 2018.

Purekkari cape is the northernmost place of mainland Estonia.
The cape is 1.5 km long, covered with rocks and boulders, and located on the Pärispea Peninsula in Lahemaa National Park. There is a small island at the end of the cape, which can be reached only when the water level is low. Thorny Japanese rose bushes catch the eye during blooming and when the roses bear fruit in the autumn. In the autumn, you can also see many migratory birds.

A small town in Estonia. The city center was largely destroyed in World War II. Although there are still older houses, the center is designed as it was considered the best 70 years ago.
Today this city needs a design code. 90s style ads everywhere are not exactly the best visual :)

Yesterday I drove for the first time fully electric car Volkswagen ID3 on my vaccination trip to Jõhvi which is 166 km from Tallinn. Yes now I am vaccinated and I feel fine :). By accident, this video became a review of the Volkswagen ID3 - how I discovered and how I felt about its numerous features and quirks. Liked the augmented reality head-up display. It was a bit scary at first that the autopilot kept the car dead-center in the lane (watch the video to see why)

Urban Exploring in Tallinn: Abandoned Olympics Venue - Estonia 2018
Yesterday, I went urban exploring in Tallinn, Estonia. We visited an abandoned Olympic venue and site, that was built for the 1980 Summer Olympics, and then walked along the coastline and Baltic Sea. Thoroughly enjoyed this walk in Tallinn, Estonia.
