Gomatgiri/Bhagwan Bahubali ,is about 25km from Mysuru and 168km from Bengaluru. Standing in the middle of almost nowhere on the Mysore- Hunsur road near the hamlet of Bilikere is a smaller statue of Bahubali Bhagwan closely resembles the famous granite Gomteshwara pratima at Shravanabelagola. Approximately 80 rough steps, gouged out in a careless fashion, lead to the narrow doorway of the four walled enclosure inside which stands an 18 ft. high black monolithic Bahubali Bhagwan pratima. Gommatagiri is an acclaimed Jain centre. The 700-year-old statue of Gomateshwara (Bhagawan Bahubali) is erected atop a 50 meter tall hillock called 'Shravana Gudda'. The statue of Gomateshwara at Gommatagiri is an early Vijayanagara creation in granite. It has serene facial expressions and curly hairs. This Jain centre attracts many pilgrims during the annual Maha masthakabhisekha in September. Historians attribute the statue to an early Vijayanagar period, It gives you the feel of being one with yourself.. a little religion, a little adventure, a little history, a little architecture.. makes this trip complete

As you approach Hunsur en route to Coorg, you will find many coffee stops along the state highway. But should you fancy a taste of some delicious old-world, take a minor detour to drive towards Hunsur town. There you will find Hotel Sabari Prasad, an eatery that first opened as Mangalore Cafe nearly 70 years ago, and to this day holds on to that era in its old world (read as extremely spartan and rustic!) decor and a wood fired dosa tava that dishes out the popular benne masala set and a unique jeera (cumin) dosae. And the coffee served here too is the sort that’s a befitting cup enroute to coffee country, Coorg!

The Mighty and unknown Sri Omkareshwara Temple on a hillock is about 48km from Mysuru, 5km from Nilavagilukaval village. One can trek all the way to the top of the hill via 100+ stone steps or use the mud road available to reach the top. The view from the top is breathtaking. On top of the hill Sri Omkareshwara Temple is present. Peaceful, calm and bliss place. There are multiple small hills attached to this place. The road to this place is good with greenery around. Vaade Malleshwara hill top Temple Near to hunsur town and Kabbal temple. There are two point of Interests in it, one is through the steps to the Temple Which is Mid Way to the hills. Another on is the hill top, it is accessible only though trek along the valley between the two mountains, it is forest area, should take permissions as there are wild life around.
