In this video, we will explore the best things to do in Peru, from exploring ancient ruins to trying delicious local cuisine.
First on the list is the iconic Machu Picchu, one of the most famous and breathtaking archaeological sites in the world. Situated high in the Andes Mountains, this ancient city of the Incas attracts millions of visitors each year. The awe-inspiring views of the ruins and surrounding landscapes will leave you speechless.
Another must-see attraction is the Nazca Lines, an ancient mystery of the desert. These geoglyphs are massive drawings etched into the ground, depicting animals, geometric shapes, and other mysterious figures that have puzzled scientists for decades.

Huaraz Hiking Guide:
Huaraz is easily one of the best hiking destinations in the world. Located in northern Peru, Huaraz is a fantastic base for trekking in the Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra.
There are many amazing hikes in Huaraz that have been barely explored by tourists. Beck and I were lucky enough to spend over a month hiking in Huaraz. During this time, we got to explore some truly hidden gems. In fact, it's these lesser-known hikes, such as the Four Lagunas Trek, Laguna 513, Laguna Shallap and Laguna Llaca, which were our favourite day hikes in Huaraz.
Of course, we also hiked popular trails in Huaraz such as Laguna 69, Laguna Paron, Laguna Churup, Laguna Wilcacocha and Pastoruri Glacier. The Amazing BLUE LAGOONS: Day trips from Huaraz, Peru | Huascarán National Park, Andes Mountains
Let's visit some of the most beautiful BLUE LAGOONS and lakes in Peru and in the world! All reachable by day trips from HUARAZ, the gateway to Huascarán National Park in Cordillera Blanca mountain range of the Peruvian Andes!
The amazing day trips from Huaraz:
-Laguna Parón: located the farthest away from Huaraz (3-4 hours trip in the car one way), no hiking needed to the lakeside, but a short climb to the view point above
-Laguna 69: the lagoon that requires the hardest hike (~3 hours one way), located slightly closer to Huaraz (~2 hours trip)
-Pastoruri Glacier: only a short hike away from the parking lot, but is quite difficult due to the very high altitude (~5000 masl), located about 2 hours away from Huaraz
-Laguna Churup: the closest lagoon to Huaraz, best reached by taxi (have an agreement for the return pick-up as well), involves a moderately difficult hike
Important information: If you don't have your own transport, your best bet to reach these places is by day trip excursion from Huaraz. Trying to go by public transport would possess a significant planning and logistical challenge, and it would not be cheaper than by joining an excursion.

Don't miss this little town hidden in the Andes | 🇵🇪 HUARAZ, PERU
Today we take an overnight bus to the little town of HUARAZ, the hiking capital of PERU.
The town of Huaraz sits at 3,000m / 9,800ft above sea level and is surrounded by the snow capped mountains of the Peruvian Andes. While most of our time here will be spent in the wild, there are still a couple of things to do during our few days in town.
We were fortunate to splurge a little on our overnight bus as there was a massive accident causing an 8hr delay. The CRUZ DEL SUR bus was extremely comfortable with full reclining seats and working toilets!
