In a city that is the home of the nation's top universities, we can start our list in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, AKA MIT, located in Cambridge. this great institute features 168 acres of architectural buildings, statuary and the MIT Museum. One of the highlights of the MIT is the Stata Center, a complex known for its controversial design, built in 2004 and designed by the well-known architect Frank Gehry. At number 9 we suggest the Massachusetts state house. the 1797 historic landmark is one of the 16 stops of the famous Freedom trail. watch our special video about this trail... Wilmington is a port city in North Carolina. It’s known as a gateway to Cape Fear Coast beaches like Wrightsville, with its strong surf, and Carolina, with its long boardwalk. Part of downtown’s Historic District, the Riverwalk is lined with restaurants, galleries and shops. It runs along the Cape Fear River, where the Battleship North Carolina is moored. Artifacts on the ship explore WWII naval combat history.
Wilmington was settled by the English along the Cape Fear River. The city was named after Spencer Compton who was the Earl of Wilmington. Its historic downtown has a 1.75-mile (2.82 km) Riverwalk, developed as a tourist attraction in the late 20th century. In 2014 Wilmington's riverfront was ranked as the Best American Riverfront by readers of USA Today. It is minutes away from nearby beaches. The National Trust for Historic Preservation selected Wilmington as one of its 2008 Dozen Distinctive Destinations. City residents live between the river and the ocean, with four nearby beach communities: Fort Fisher, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, all within half-hour drives from downtown Wilmington.
Wilmington is the home of EUE Screen Gems Studios, the largest domestic television and movie production facility outside California. Dream Stage 10, the facility's newest sound stage, is the third-largest in the US. It houses the largest special-effects water tank in North America. After the studio's opening in 1984, Wilmington became a major center of American film and television production. Numerous movies in a range of genres and several television series have been produced here, including Maximum Overdrive, Iron Man 3, Fox's Sleepy Hollow, One Tree Hill, Dawson's Creek and NBC's Revolution.

Wilmington boasts a large historic district encompassing nearly 300 blocks. Abandoned warehouses on downtown's northern end have been recently demolished making room for multi-million dollar projects, such as the World Headquarters of Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD) and a state-of-the-art convention center. Scottish State Coach Royal Mews British royal family Buckingham Palace
The Scottish State Coach is an enclosed, four-horse-drawn carriage used by the British Royal Family. The coach was built by Adams & Hooper in 1830 for Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge to attend the coronation of William IV, and it was used for many years by the duke's family until it was sold to William Keppel, 7th Earl of Albemarle, who converted it into a semi-State landau. In 1920, the Keppel family returned the coach to the Royal Family by presenting it as a gift to Queen Mary, who kept it in the Mews at Windsor Castle.

Between 1968 and 1969, the coach was extensively remodelled and restored to its original enclosed state. Large glass windows and transparent panels in the roof were added, the Royal Arms and the insignia of the Order of the Thistle were emblazoned onto it and a model of the Crown of Scotland was added on top of the roof. The bulk of the conversion work was done by St. Cuthbert's Co-operative Society of Edinburgh, to the designs of Glover, Webb & Liversidge of London. The coach was used for the first time by Queen Elizabeth II during the opening of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in 1969. It was used by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother in 1977 during the thanksgiving service for her daughter's Silver Jubilee, and also in 1979 during her installation as Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports at Dover. The carriage was used for the Order of the Thistle service on at Edinburgh in 1994 and then as a reserve carriage for the State Visit of Harald V of Norway and Queen Sonja of Norway at Holyrood the following day. The carriage has been used at least three times for royal weddings: in 1963 to transport the bride and groom during the wedding of Princess Alexandra and Angus Ogilvy, in 2011 to chauffeur the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh at the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, and in 2018 to transport the bride and groom during the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. The Queen rode in it to and from her Birthday Parade in 2019, the last time she took the salute on Horse Guards Parade in person. It was most recently used to drive the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Sir Timothy Laurence from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace after the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in 2023. The coach is usually stored at the Royal Mews, London, where it can be seen by the public. Baton Rouge is a city on the Mississippi River, and the capital of Louisiana. Baton Rouge is a major industrial, petrochemical, medical, research, motion picture, and growing technology center of the American South. It is the location of Louisiana State University, the LSU System's flagship university and the largest institution of higher education in the state. It is also the location of Southern University, the flagship institution of the Southern University System, the only historically black college system in the nation. The Port of Greater Baton Rouge is the 10th-largest in the United States in terms of tonnage shipped, and is the farthest upstream Mississippi River port capable of handling Panamax ships.
The Baton Rouge area owes its historical importance to its strategic site upon the Istrouma Bluff, the first natural bluff upriver from the Mississippi River Delta. This allowed development of a business quarter safe from seasonal flooding. In addition, the city built a levee system stretching from the bluff southward to protect the riverfront and low-lying agricultural areas. The city is a culturally rich center, with settlement by immigrants from numerous European nations and African peoples brought to North America as slaves or indentured servants. It was ruled by seven different governments: French, British, and Spanish in the colonial era, West Floridian, United States territory and state, Confederate, and United States again.
