Henley Beach is a coastal suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the City of Charles Sturt.

Henley beach is surrounded by lots of quality cafe's and eating places so you can dine and relax in the same area. Most restaurants have seating so that you can enjoy the beach and sunset. Easy walking along the jetty and walking/running track along the beach. A great beach for families with pets.
Henley Beach is a coastal suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the City of Charles Sturt.
Henley Beach was named for the English town of Henley-on-Thames, the home town of Sir Charles Cooper, South Australia's first judge. Cooper had a residence in the area adjacent Charles Sturt's property The Grange, for which Grange Beach was named. It has been asserted that Sturt's suggestion of Cooper's Beach was rejected by Cooper, who gave it the current name.
The Town of Henley Beach was promoted in the South Australian Register in 1860 as being free from all the noxious smells which have been cause of complaint elsewhere. The Register again advertised the township in 1874.
We enjoy the Sea breeze, ambiance , food, people and culture, and sunset view.

West & Grange Beaches - Adelaide
West Beach is located between Glenelg and Henley Beach. West beach is undisturbed, barely-populated beach area and wide expanse of blue water and white sand. Beachside suburb without the major commercialism. Good place to sit and relax. There are pathways through a dune which leads to the beach. This is a great beach to go for a walk or swim and there is a shared bike path/walkway which goes north and south along the coastline.
Grange beach is a beautiful, pristine beach. On nice weather this beach is full of people enjoying multiple beach activities yet it’s not as busy as Henley or Semaphore beaches. Great spot if you are looking to avoid the crowds and want more relaxed and comfortable beach experience. There’s Grange Jetty Café and jetty itself to walk and take in the views. Beach has less shops and restaurants but offers more outdoor nature feel with less buildings around. The Grange Hotel is perfectly located overlooking the beach.

I came to Australia in 1980 & lived in Henley Beach for 20 years. I can remember swimming & playing in the old fountain & going to the Henley pool. In the late 80s summer days was spent hanging out at the square & on the beach with friends. The square has changed so much from when i was a kid the redevelopment looks great lots of people great place for the whole family.
