10 Cheapest Places to live in California.
Buying a house can be hard. If you are thinking about California and don't need to be in one of the major cities, this list is for you.
Nobody wants a giant mortgage but in most of California, that is what you are going to get.
If you enjoy these videos I would love to hear about it. Most of these videos are made to help people who are thinking about relocating, looking for real estate, or just wanting to learn about the United States. We look at the best and worst cities, states, towns, and neighborhoods in the United States. But, most of the time focus on the negative side of locations. If you only want some happy positive information about a city, town, or state, I would suggest looking up local mortgage and real estate companies or maybe the locations website. They are trying to sell you something so it will be nothing but sunshine, rainbows, and a bunch of smoke up your skirt. They won't tell you about crime, poverty, bail bondsmen, or insurance you'll need because of natural disasters. I will. And I will try and make it entertaining.

The Mexican Dream: Why Americans Are Leaving the US Behind
In recent years, there has been a growing trend of Americans leaving the United States for Mexico. This phenomenon has been dubbed the Mexican Dream, and it is driven by a number of factors, including the high cost of living in the United States, the increasing political polarization, and the perception that Mexico offers a better quality of life.
In this video, we will explore why Americans are leaving the United States for Mexico and talk to some of the people who have made the move. We will also look at the impact of this trend on both countries.
Watch this video to learn more about the Mexican Dream and why it is becoming an increasingly attractive option for Americans.
Here are some of the reasons why Americans are leaving the United States for Mexico:
The high cost of living in the United States: The cost of living in the United States has been rising steadily for years, and it is now at a point where it is out of reach for many people. In Mexico, the cost of living is much lower, meaning Americans can afford to live a more comfortable lifestyle.
The increasing political polarization in the United States: The United States is becoming increasingly divided along political lines, and this is making it difficult for some people to feel comfortable living in the country. There is less political polarization in Mexico, meaning people can feel more at home.
The perception that Mexico offers a better quality of life: Many Americans believe that Mexico offers a better quality of life than the United States. This is due to a number of factors, including the warm climate, the friendly people, and the relaxed lifestyle.
The impact of the Mexican Dream on both countries:

A Beautiful Trip To San Luis Reservoir (4-15-2023) Video Part 1
Taking in the gorgeous views of San Luis Reservoir during another one of me & my cousin’s spontaneous trips. This time, we went to San Luis Reservoir… After eating lunch at Sonic in Gilroy, we visited the Romero Visitor Center, but they were closed. Our final destination was at the Dinosaur Point State Park side, where we enjoyed a small picnic & then soaked in the beautiful views along the shoreline. We were amazed at how full the reservoir was thanks to all the recent storms this season. The weather this day was picture-perfect for this outing. ‘Til next time, safe travels out there! (Outing taken place Saturday, April 15, 2023)
*The San Luis Reservoir is an artificial lake in the eastern slopes of the Diablo Range of Merced County, approximately 12 miles west of Los Banos on State Route 152, which crosses Pacheco Pass & runs along its north shore. Nestled in the grassy hills of the western San Joaquin Valley near historic Pacheco Pass (just west of Santa Nella, CA), San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area is known for boating, board sailing, camping & picnicking. San Luis Reservoir is a storage reservoir for the federal Central Valley Project & the California State Water Project. It stores storm runoff from the Delta that would otherwise waste into the sea. Most of the water here is used for irrigation… California’s reservoirs have been in the spotlight following months of precip & the end of the drought in much of the state. A surplus of water has filled major reservoirs, which had seen perilously low water levels. Among them is the San Luis Reservoir, which sat at just 25% of capacity on Dec. 1. The basin is now around 100% full, thanks to a very wet (historic) winterrainy season. Let’s keep the rains coming!

Grand Sierra Resort RV Park. ~ Reno Nevada ~ Casino RV Parks
More of our stay at Grand Sierra Resort's RV Park.
Stayed at the RV Park at Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, FINALLY! We've resisted staying as I hate the fact that you have to pay resort fees! But you know what, it was worth it. It was a nice park. Simple. We had a big corner site but they all seems to have some distance between the neighbors (if you had one) Which was nice. It was crowded enough to not feel like you were missing something (bad😝) but not so full that you couldn't change spots many times looking for satellite. Which was not a problem at all.
There is a number to call if you want a ride to the casino and security will drive you home from the casino. There are MANY restaurants. We enjoys the Mexican place and had an amazing dinner with friends at Palmers Steak. Also lots off quick on the go stuff too.
Nice friendly people from the great staff at the RV check in to the bartenders and host who helped me pull the BEST prank on my husband and our friends! 😂🤣 I'm still OTFL
Movie Theatre, Bowling, An Escape Room, they even have a Top Golf type place to hit golf balls into the lake AND so much more! Honestly until I looked right now I didn't realize everything they had and I'm totally bummed we didn't do an escape room!!! We just partied with our friends 😝
Here is our RV parks playlist, you never know what might be useful!
Here is our casino playlist
And lastly our Reno etc playlist
And here friends, is the WHOLE playlist from our 6 week adventure!
I'm so sorry! I did NOT take any videos in the Casino! It was such a short stay. We were with out friends celebrating their anniversary and I just didn't think about it. We'll go back! We will. I love this area! We're in Minden now, its fantastic!

My Storm Chasing Trip In The Central Valley (3-28-2022) Video Part 12
Enjoying a nice countryside drive down CA-152 westbound around the outskirts of Chowchilla, CA at sunset. This was during my storm chasing adventure in the Central Valley on Monday, March 28, 2022… I was on the long road trip back home at this time... I left from work just before noon. Traffic was pretty light on the way to the valley. I stopped and ate lunch (and rested) at the John Chuck Erreca Rest Area just off of I-5. Then storms started firing around the valley, so I then drove north towards Los Banos, Santa Nella and Gustine, CA. But even ‘stronger’ storms went off to the southeast near Firebaugh. I raced back south and that’s when I finally saw some action. A few lightning strikes (and decent rumbles of thunder) were observed while in the northern outskirts of Firebaugh. Some interesting Midwest-like skies were seen as well. Then late afternoon came and I headed towards Madera and Fresno to hopefully see the t-storms firing there. Unluckily I was too late for the lightning, although some epic skies were still seen. I then refueled around Fresno at the Valero on E Shaw Ave. I then called it a day and tackled the long road back home, taking in the sunset and lingering showers along the way. It was certainly a good weather day! Ultimately, calling off work half day this day was worth it! ‘Til next time, safe travels!
*Weather scenario: A strong, cold, upper-level low-pressure area had dropped down along the California coast. The storm had brought significant rain, wind and even triggered numerous thunderstorms to the state this day. The high angle sun this time of year had also helped with the unstable air mass to help fuel afternoon t-storm development especially in the valley. Certainly, this storm system was the most significant and eventful one we’ve had since early January… But it was still not enough to make a dent in our ongoing severe drought… Pray for more storms!
