Słubice is a border town in the Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. Located on the Oder river, it lies directly opposite the city of Frankfurt (Oder) in Germany, which it was a part of as Dammvorstadt until 1945.

GERMANY TOUR - part 22 of 23 Driving back to Poland:Gubin-Dąbie My great journey to Germany to visit Christopher in Senftenberg nearby Cottbus in March on the 17-19th,went there by Christophers's car,we also took two bicycles and put them into the car.Our route from Poland was through Żary,Olszyna,Cottbus to Senftenberg.On the way we stopped at the viewing platform nearby Cottbus to see countryside.We reached Senftenberg in the afternoon so we could biking that day through the town centre to admire this place where Christopher lives.We also visited Christopher's High School in Senftenberg late evening. Next day we went around the local lake,along beautiful bike trails,the route was over 20 km long!Fine sunny weather and a lot of fun biking together!I returned to Poland another way through Spremberg,Forst and Guben!Total 23 interesting clips of my German journey,very long series,23 clips(1-4 part driving to Senftenberg,5-9 part biking in Senftenberg and showing the town,10-19 part bike trip over 20km,20-23 part driving back to Zielona Góra) hope you enjoyed my foreign travel!Amnas2011
PODRÓŻ do NIEMIEC część 22 Z powrotem samochodem do Polski:Gubin-Dąbie Moja wspaniała podróż do Niemiec na zaproszenie Krzysztofa do miejscowości Senftenberg w pobliżu Cottbus od 17-go do 19-go marca.Pojechaliśmy z Zielonej Góry Krzyśka samochodem i zabraliśmy ze sobą dwa rowery.Trasa z Polski wiodła przez Żary,Olszynę (granica),Cottbus.W pobliżu Cottbus zatrzymaliśmy się przy platformie widokowej,gdzie podziwialiśmy miejscowy krajobraz,następnie późnym popołudniem dotarliśmy do Seftenbergu.Zdążyliśmy jeszcze w tym samym dniu objechać rowerami całe miasto,centrum jak również udało mi się zwiedzić Krzysia uczelnię w Senftenbergu!Następnego dnia przy pięknej słonecznej pogodzie objechaliśmy rowerami całe miejscowe jezioro,trasa liczyła ponad 20 km.Wszędzie fantastyczne ścieżki rowerowe,czego u nas w Polsce brak!Moja droga powrotna do Polski inną trasą przez Spremberg,Forst i Guben,zapraszam na 23 odcinki ( odcinek 1-4 podróż do Senftenbergu samochodem,odcinek 5-9 zwiedzanie rowerem miasta,odcinek 10-19 wycieczka rowerowa wokół miejscowego jeziora ponad 20 km,odcinek 20-23 powrót do Polski samochodem). Heavy rain on the German Autobahn and Slubice, Poland
When we were in Berlin, we took a day trip to the Polish border town of Slubice.
Slubice sits on the other side of the River Oder and faces the town Frankfurt Oder. It was a very interesting experience, but I don't think i'll be going back there for a while.

Poznań Goats is one of the tourist attractions of Poznań. The mechanical goats' butting display takes place every day at 12:00 on the tower of the Poznań City Hall.
According to one version of the folk legend, when the town hall was rebuilt after the great fire in Poznań, the clock for the town hall tower was ordered from master Bartholomew of Gubin. The town council decided to celebrate this important event. A great feast was planned. A young cook, Pietrek, was appointed to prepare the main dish. Deer leg baked slowly and Pietrek was curious about what the clock mechanism looks like. The young cook could not wait to finish baking and decided to leave the kitchen for a while to look at the clock.[3][4]
However, in his absence, the leg fell into the fire and burned to the coal. The terrified boy ran to a nearby meadow where the inhabitants of the city kept their animals. From there, he kidnapped two goats and took them to the town hall kitchen. The goats, however, escaped from the boy to the cornice of the town hall tower. There, in front of the gathered townsmen, two small white goats started butting. This sight amused the voivode and the invited guests. The mayor pardoned Pietrek, and the watchmaker was ordered to make a mechanism that would activate the clock goats every day. Since then, every day the trumpeter plays the bugle call and two buzzing goats show up.[5]
The real goats did not reach the tables of city councilors and townsmen but were returned to the poor widow, their true owner.
Goat sculpture is located on Collegiate Square, near the main entrance to the Municipal Office, the former Jesuit College. The sculpture was designed by Robert Sobociński in 2002.[6] In 2019, due to renovations of the square, the goat sculpture was moved to Chopin Park.[7]
The monument, due to its easy accessibility from the ground level and the possibility to sit on the backs of animals, is a popular place for tourists and residents to take souvenir photographs.[8]
Another, modern and colorful goat installation is located on Piłsudskiego street, in Rataje.
