El Poblado is the 14th commune in the metropolitan area of the city of Medellín, Colombia. According to a 2005 census the population was 94,704, distributed among its land area of 23 km2, and by the year 2015, it had a population of 128,839.[1][2] The comuna consists of 24 barrios, and is located in the south-east of the city. Its western boundary with the comuna of Guayabal runs along the Medellín River; to the south, it borders the city of Envigado, to the east, the township of Santa Elena, and to the north, the comunas of La Candelaria and Buenos Aires.
El Poblado is also known as Las Manzanas de Oro (The Golden Blocks)[4] because it is the main center of the industrial and commercial life of the second largest economy of Colombia.

Guayabal is the 15th commune in the metropolitan area of the city of Medellin, Colombia.
It is the city's 2nd least populated commune with 94,960 inhabitants as of 2016.[1] Its eastern boundary with the comuna of El Poblado runs along the Medellín River; to the south, it borders the city of Itagüí and to the west and to the north, the comune of Belén. It's home to the Santa Fe Zoo, Da Moda Outlet and Olaya Herrera Airport.

Comuna nororiental de Medellín 2023 🗻⛰️
The urban area of Medellín, Colombia is divided into six zones, which in turn are divided into 16 communes.[1] Communes are then divided into neighborhoods (Spanish: barrios) and institutional areas. The city has 249 neighborhoods and 20 institutional areas. Institutional areas are large sectors with some neighborhood characteristics, but its populations are not permanent and lack housing. An example of an institutional area is a university campus. The rural areas of Medellín are divided into 5 corregimientos, these in turn are divided into villages. The districts San Antonio de Prado and San Cristóbal are the most populous districts Colombia, with over thirty thousand inhabitants each. Medellín is structured following the flow of the Medellín River, which runs from south to north.
The six zones and 16 communes are the following:

On this occasion I am driving my vehicle from the neighborhood of El Poblado, in Medellín Antioquia, exactly from a shopping center called “Oviedo” on the golden mile as this place is also known .
We cross the bridge known as four south, one of the largest interurban bridges in Colombia, with eight lanes, 40 meters wide, which communicates a place called LA LOMA DE LOS BALSOS in the neighborhood of the town , to the Cristo Rey neighborhood in Guayabal, one of the communes of the city of Medellín. This bridge on the right side communicates with what we know in Medellín as the southern highway.

This place, EL POBLADO is also a commune of Medellín, is a mandatory place for tourists to know, because it is a place where you can walk, have coffee outdoors, meet shopping centers, malls, you can go cycling, It is a safe and quiet place for tourists. Precisely in its streets you can see many foreigners who visit this city. In the neighborhood there are many hotels and hostels frequented by thousands of tourists a year.
The city of Medellin Colombia is one of the hot spots in the world.
A place that used to be recognized for its violence, but today thanks to its people and its rulers, today it is a place that is known by the pseudonym of the most innovative city.
To my right we find a shopping center called “VIVA”, one of the largest in South America, opened in October last year, this is located in the Municipality of Envigado, also a recommended place to visit when they come to Medellin, has a Subway station that connects to the mall, the station is called envigado.
Medellín, Envigado and Sabaneta are municipalities close to each other in a southerly direction. Driving on the southern highway, these three municipalities communicate.

Belen Medellin Colombia - Where to stay in Medellin Colombia
Belen Medellin Colombia - Where to stay in Medellin Colombia. Medellin Apartments and Pueblito Paisa Medellin Colombia. Colombia Travel to Medellin Belen neighborhood is a must for any visit to Medellin Colombia. Medellin Colombia has many neighborhoods which include pricing from low to high. The city is divided into what's called an Estrata. Estratas range from 1 to 6. 6 being the highest. This simply means that this area's income and property values are the highest. Laureles is a 4 and 5, and again Belen is a 3 to 5. Much better pricing than Poblado, maybe 1/3 and even better than Laureles.. It also offers a flat terrain. Which, let me tell you, is a big plus. So if you're scheduling a trip to Medellin you need to keep this area in mind for a visit. Belen Medellin Colombia is a working class neighborhood or should I say Comuna. If you're looking to apartments in Medellin Colombia, look to Laureles, Belen & Envigado.
Living the digital nomad lifestyle, I had to check out various areas of the city. Other than Laureles, I'd also suggest looking into Envigado and the Comuna Belen as well. Which would be my second and third choices for long term residence. Also, the Laureles and Belen nightlife is great. I would even say more than Poblado. You have La Setenta (70th street) where there's numerous restaurants and nightspots. Calle trente tres (33rd street), where there's even more nightlife and separates Laureles from the Belen neighborhood; I tell you if you have to choose between Laureles or Poblado to find an apartment in Medellin, you should think of Laureles. And between Laureles and Belen to find a medellin apartment, I'd choose Laureles. But Belen would be a good second choice. Also keep in mind Envigado.
I've seen a few of the apartments/condos and I absolutely loved them. If you're traveling to Colombia and visiting Medellin you have to check it out. Check out Son Havana nightclub and also the California club on 33rd. Belen Colombia neighborhood should definitely be looked at when searching for an apartment in medellin. And at a good price. Colombia travel has never been better; you owe it to yourself to check it out. Also check out Pueblito Paisa Medellin when in Belen. It's a replica of an old Pueblo and has one of the best views in Medellin.

The vaccination is recommended when visiting the Amazon area and required to return to Colombia from Brazil. It's going to be a bit of a snipe hunt but we'll tour the city a little along the way!
