Most of us have all travelled to another country, but have you ever travelled to a country’s border? The magical place where two or more countries meet!? Some country’s borders are really strange and others are downright hostile, so let's have a look at the world’s strangest borders.
1) Bulgaria, Greece and Macedonia
The meeting place of three countries, also known as Tumba Peak, it’s where Greece meets, the south-westernmost point of Bulgaria and the south-easternmost point of the Republic of North Macedonia. Every August since 2001, an international excursion to the peak is organized under the motto Balkans Without Borders
2) Pheasant Island
This tiny isle located in the Bidasoa River between Northern Spain and Southern France is only 200 metres long, and has swapped nationality between the two countries more than 700 times since 1659. This is because the two countries take turns to govern it, changing its ownership every six months.
3) Mexico and USA
The most crossed border in the world, nearly 1 million immigrants find their way over the border between Mexico and the U.S. every year. Trump's still waiting for Mexico to build the 12 billion dollar wall along the huge border, extending from the Pacific Ocean in the west to the Gulf of Mexico in the east. It traverses a variety of terrains, ranging from urban areas to deserts.
4) Egypt and Sudan
Bir Tawil, is an unwanted 2,000 square-kilometre stretch of desert that separates both countries. This piece of no-man’s land would only be a loss for either country, and both refuse to annex Bir Tawil. However, multiple organisations and even individuals have attempted to claim it for their own, with little support from the international community.
5) Canada and the USA
At five and a half thousand miles wide, this is the longest border in the world, separating Canada from 13 states. It looks like a straight line on the map which may seem like an easier way to divide a country but it completely isolates Point Roberts, from the rest of the U.S. The 5 square mile peninsular only has an elementary school, so high school students that want to study in the U.S. have to cross the border every day.
6) Moresnet
Between 1830 and 1919 there existed a lesser known country named Moresnet, with its own flag and even own language, Moresnet bordered with Holland, Belgium and Prussia for just under 90 years. However, after the First World War, the territory was annexed by Belgium and today this point is marked by a tower (Belgium) from where you can see the cool Labyrint Drielandenpunt (Netherlands).
7) Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay
This border is located where the Iguazú and Paraná rivers converge. This is a much visited tourist area. Each of the three bordering countries has erected an obelisk, painted in the national colors of the country from where you can see an idyllic view of each nation.
8) Netherlands and Belgium
Both countries have so many exclaves within exclaves that many houses and shops are split down the middle between the two countries. So residents often find themselves shopping in one country and dining in another.
9) Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe
These “Four Corners of Africa” meet on the Zambezi river, which is busy with ferries and boats constantly crossing between the four nations. However, as some nations tend to fall out and ferry crossings suddenly become illegal in one country and permitted in another, in 2007 Zambia and Botswana made a deal to build a bridge to replace the ferry system.
10) The Diomede Islands
Right between Siberia and Alaska are two tiny islands. Yesterday Island (Big Diomede) and Tomorrow Island (Little Diomede). The timezones on the islands are governed by Russia and the U.S.A., so Yesterday Island is 21 hours behind Tomorrow Island. You could celebrate your birthday twice on the same day!

Welcome to a newest video. Today I am presenting you Misr and Sudan Street, an old street in Cairo's district Hadayek el Kobba. The street is almost an one way street leading to Abasseya area in el Waili district.
I also permanently displayed the permitted maximum speed. I've heard a lot of complaints about Speeding Tickets. In this way I hope to protect you from possible Speeding tickets. In future videos I will continue this on main roads.
You have to watch out for walking people, taxis, toktok's and especially for (white) microbuses. Their behavior is unpredictable and it can lead to a disaster. Otherwise is driving in Cairo, Egypt a funny and enjoyable thing. Always wear your seat belt and keep to the speed limit.

Hadayek el Kobba
Hadayek el Kobba (حدائق القبة), is a district in the east of Cairo.
It was once one of the affluent neighborhoods and had numerous villas and extensive gardens.
The “EL Kobba” and “El-Ṭahra” palaces, which are among the largest palaces in Egypt, still bear witness to its importance.
El Kobba palace in the north of an extensive, 70-hectare park was built between 1867 and 1872.
The palace served the Egyptian kings as a residence and the Egyptian president as a presidential palace and as accommodation for state guests. It has 400 rooms.
El Tahra palace was built in the Italian style for Princess Amina in 1927 according to the plans of the Italian architect Antonio Lasciac, which is located in a large garden.
Amina was the daughter of the Khedive Ismail Pasha (reigned 1863-1867).
The villa was purchased in 1939 by King Farouk (reign 1936–1952).
The name of the district goes back to the Mamluk Sultan el-Ashraf Qaitbay (1416-1496).
1477 he bought a plot of land away from the city of Cairo and had a dome-shaped building, el Kobba (القبة), built on it.
In the 17th and 18th centuries, people settled around the dome, so that a small village was created.
In the 19th century, family members from the dynasty of Mohamed Ali Pasha used to build palaces here also.
Hadayek el Kobba is served by Metro Line M1. The names of the stations are called Saray el Kobba, “Hammamat el Kobba”, “Kobri el Kobba”, “Manshiyet el Sadr” and “El-Damerdash”.

Spiaggia Spalmatore di Terra a Tavolara ~ 30 Giugno 2019 | Sardegna
La spiaggia Spalmatore di Terra, chiamata spiaggia di Chinelli nel tratto centrale, è situata nella lunga penisola della maestosa isola di Tavolara.
L'onnipresente massiccio calacareo-dolomitico dell'isola domina tutta la zona dall'alto dei suoi 560 metri di altezza.
Le sue sabbie di origine granitica e calcarea sono chiare, color crema con sfumature che vanno dal giallo al rosa all'arancio, mentre la sua grana varia da fine a media, con quache ciottolo.
Le sue acque brulicanti di vita sono trasparenti e cristalline, i suoi colori variano dal verde smeraldo al turchese in riva che diventa blu profondo verso il largo.
I fondali sono sabbiosi e bassi in riva, ma diventano più profondi al largo e sono davvero spettacolari, in quanto offrono una rigogliosa flora marina e una meravigliosa ittiofauna.
Sono molto amati dai sub anche perche l'Ente Area Marina Protetta Tavolara organizza immersioni sicure per poter esplorare i numerosi reperti archeologici e subacquei della zona.
Al centro della penisola sono presenti alcune dune punteggiate dalla macchia mediterranea e attraversate dal Sentiero del Prolago, che permette di esplorarle in sicurezza ed è anche dotato di cartelli che spiegano flora e fauna della zona.
A Tavolara è presente una ricchissima e affascinante avifauna come i falchi, le aquile, i cormorani, i gabbiani, l’uccello delle tempeste e il cormorano.
Le suggestive calette della penisola sono racchiuse tra pittoresche scogliere rosse, punteggiate dalla bassa macchia mediterranea che nell'isola emana un forte profumo.
Percorrendo il sentiero tra le rocce verso sud raggiungiamo una caletta nascosta che prende il nome di Il Passetto, una stretta striscia di sabbia bianca e candida che appare e scompare a seconda delle maree e che esploreremo nel prossimo video!
A Spalmatore di Terra sono presenti numerosi i servizi come lo stabilimento della spiaggia di Chinelli, il bar e alcuni rinomati ristoranti, ma attenzione ai prezzi; un caffè costa 2 euro e un gelato 3,50 euro.
La spiaggia Spalmatore di Terra è piuttosto affollata in alta stagione, anche se si sta cercando di limitare il flusso delle imbarcazioni in entrata per evitare il deturpamento del paesaggio.

La spiaggia Spalmatore di Terra si trova nell’isola di Tavolara, nel comune di Olbia (provincia di Sassari).
Si raggiunge via mare in circa 20 minuti utilizzando una imbarcazione a noleggio o con il servizio di barconi turistici che partono da Loiri Porto San Paolo al costo di 16 euro A+R.

Al Galala, Egypt - A wonderful city in the bosom of a mountains
A unique tourist and real state investment attraction site, Al Galala city is located on the highest mountain plateau between Ain Sokhna and Zafarana and overlooks the Red Sea coast. It lies approximately 170 kilometres away from the Cairo International Airport and 50 kilometres away from Port Sokhna.
#Galala City is considered as one of the largest Egyptian development projects, with a unique tourist-attractive location, amazing beaches and a high altitude that gives the city the climatic advantage of a temperature drop below sea level of 10 degrees.
#Galala City is home to a world-class medical city, the first Olympic village for sports events and some residential and tourist areas. Flagship investments in the area also include the King Salman University and a tourist resort overlooking the Gulf of Suez, the Global Galala Tourism Resort.
Construction work on the Galala Tourism Resort began in 2015. It is located on the shore of the Gulf of Suez in the area of Ras Abu Daraj on an area of 100 acres. The resort includes two hotels, one of which is mountainous and coastal, with 300 rooms and 40 chalets, while the coastal area includes 300 rooms and 60 chalets. A world-class resort, it features a marina for yachts, with 239 yachts, fully equipped, and a city of water games carried out by major international companies.
Al Galala city has A 6-kilometres cable car, built to link the tourist area with the medical city. It is considered the largest cable car project in the Middle East and Africa region.
The Galala area is rich in natural resources, and development projects are underway to support investment opportunities in mining and construction material industries, such as the road that cuts into the mountains to facilitate the transportation of raw materials for manufacture.
A desalination plant with a capacity of 150 thousand cubic meters ready to serve the city. In addition, a road is being developed to connect the city through different routes, and it starts from the south of Port Said till the 92nd km on the Ismailia Desert Road, then cuts the Suez and Ain Sokhna Road in the Wadi Hjul area. There are plans to complete the road from the south to reach the west of Hurghada and west of Safaga and then Abu Ramad and Halayib and Shalateen up to the area Perforkit on the international border with Sudan. In addition, a 13-kilometres-long emergency link will connect the coastal road with the main road.
