Crossing the US/Mexico border on foot - day trip to TIJUANA

Tijuana, Mexico is the most visited border city in the world, and in this video, you'll follow our journey crossing the US/Mexico border on foot twice (going to Tijuana in the morning and returning to San Diego, USA in the afternoon). We went through the San Ysidro port of entry, which is the busiest in the western hemisphere. You'll also see how we spent the day in Tijuana walking across Zona Centro (the historical downtown) and eating delicious Mexican food.

► WHO AM I?

I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!

P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time 😉

We Got KICKED OUT of our RV Park | Fulltime RV Living | The Downside to Fulltime RV Life

Think there's NO DRAMA in RV life? Think again! Our video highlights what happens when you choose the wrong campground to spend a week relaxing and unwinding! While we do give some consideration to user reviews, we don't always mark a campground off our list just because of a handful of poor reviews! Unfortunately, we paid the price this time and will now consider ALL reviews that pertain to power shortages and general upkeep! Let our mistake save you the drama of dealing with a park manager that thinks your big rig is taking all the power out of their park. One highlight that came from this huge inconvenience, is that our next campground, just outside of Glacier National Park, was able to accommodate us four days early! Thanks to getting kicked out, we got to see Glacier three times instead of just once, which we originally had planned! Oh, and our new campground had plenty of electricity for ALL of the rigs in their campground and was well kept!

The BEST Things To Do In Carson City Nevada

In this video, I'll be listing some of the best things to do in Carson City Nevada.

Just 30 minutes from Lake Tahoe and Reno lies Carson City, Nevada. A city that I've driven past quite a few times but never stopped to explore.

I recently had the opportunity to spend an October weekend in Nevada's State Capitol (a beautiful time to visit with all the fall colors!). I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Carson City is a mix of historic charm, outdoor recreation, eclectic cafes and shops, and inviting local breweries and restaurants.

Here are some of the top things to do in Carson City, Nevada.

A huge thank you to Visit Carson City for making this experience possible.

P.S: Help keep the outdoors beautiful by Leaving No Trace.

Best Things to Do in Carson City, Nevada

What’s your favorite thing to do in Carson City, Nevada? This historic city dates back to the Gold Rush days of the 1850s when it was built as a stopover point for prospectors heading to California in search of gold. But it wasn’t long before the largest silver find in history was uncovered in the hills outside Carson City and it became a hub of its own. When Nevada became a state in 1864, Carson City was named as the state's capital, so it's got over 160 years of history waiting for you.

You can check out museums like the Nevada State Museum and Nevada Train Museum where you’ll learn plenty about the history of the state. You’ll find exhibits about the state’s wildlife, prehistoric fossils found in the area, and the city’s silver mining history in the State Museum. And the train museum takes you through the history of rail transportation in the state and what it meant to Carson City’s mining industry.

If you're more of an outdoor enthusiast, there are lots of great things to do in Carson City, Nevada. You can visit some of the many waterfalls in the area, like the King Canyon Waterfall, or hike one of the many trails in the hills surrounding the city. Or combine outdoor activity with a bit of Carson City history by walking along the Kit Carson Trail. The trail goes through the historic part of the city where you’ll see beautiful Victorian-style homes, the Governor’s Mansion, and the Ferris House - home to the inventor of the Ferris wheel.

If trying new foods is on your list of things to do in Carson City, Nevada, you’ve got lots of options. The city offers everything from fast food spots to fine dining. A couple of our favorites include the barbecue at Red’s Old 395 Grill and the English-style Fox Brewpub.

Let's virtually explore Carson City in the USA!

Let's explore the world through Google Street View.

Today we are visiting Carson City in the state of Nevada in the USA. I had a great time exploring this small capital city and seeing a bit of what it has to offer. Plenty of places to gamble and grab a bite, but the real story I think is all the surrounding hills and mountains and lakes. Wow! So much to see and do. Lots of great history here too.

Here you can check out where we have been on Google Maps.

10 Small Towns With Big Millionaire Populations

10 Small Towns With Big Millionaire Populations
Just 5.5% of the households in the U.S. qualify as bona fide millionaires. That means they have investable assets of $1 million or more, excluding the value of real estate, employer-sponsored retirement plans, and business partnerships. Not surprisingly, the majority of these 6.8 million wealthy households can be found in big cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
But it turns out some millionaires prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of major metropolises. Phoenix Marketing International, a firm that tracks the affluent market, ranked 915 urban areas, both large and small, based on the percentage of millionaire households in each. Here are the 10 smallest cities and towns boasting the highest concentration of millionaires in the U.S.

Here is the last time lapse video from out vacation! Here we started out in Gardnerville, drove up Kingsberry grade to Lake Tahoe. I quick view of south Tahoe before driving around the east shoreline. A couple of good panoramic views over the lake. We then drive over the pass at Mt Rose then cruise into Reno to get another memory card from Best Buy. Then a quick drive through Virginia City then back to Carson valley. It was a great trip so I hope you enjoy the sights! This video was created all by images and no video. The panoramic views were images that were stitched together for this video!

Markleeville Town Center near Grover Hot Springs (Markleeville, California)

Exploring Markleeville, CA!

Markleeville (formerly, Markleville) is a census-designated place (CDP) and the county seat of Alpine County, California. The population was 210 at the 2010 census, up from 197 at the 2000 census.

Jacob J. Marklee founded a toll bridge crossing the Carson River in 1861. He aimed to tap into the traffic from the silver mining boom at Silver Mountain City. On June 23, 1862, he recorded a land claim of 160 acres in Douglas County, Nevada. A boundary survey took place, and the property ended up being in California. In 1863, Marklee died after being involved in a gunfight. When the Comstock Lode discovery took place, the town of Markleeville was founded on the Marklee property. Today, the Alpine County Courthouse sits on the former property, which is listed as a California Historical Landmark.

About Hollywood:
Hollywood is a neighborhood in the central region of Los Angeles, California. This densely populated neighborhood is notable as the home of the U.S. film industry, including several of its historic studios, and its name has come to be a shorthand reference for the industry and the people associated with it.

Hollywood was a small community in 1870 and was incorporated as a municipality in 1903. It was consolidated with the city of Los Angeles in 1910, and soon thereafter a prominent film industry emerged, eventually becoming the most recognizable film industry in the world. ~ Wikipedia.org
