Guimarães to Vila Real, Portugal
We turned the relatively short route from Guimarães to Vila Real (53miles/85km) into a 130miles/209km exploration of the region, stopping at Amarante and Casa de Mateus on route before arriving at Vila Real.
Following the Douro river, crossing it a couple of times and also getting to launch the drone to get another viewpoint. Hopefully, this clip gives you an idea of what you'll see on your own Portuguese adventure.

LAMEGO cidade Histórica do DOURO VINHATEIRO 🍷 - Portugal

SANTIAGO 2018: Caminho Francês no Inverno.
Total: 9,3 km. Faltavam 90,8 km para Santiago de Compostela.

Camino de Santiago | Day 28 | Ferreiros to Ligonde | Pilgrim diary on the Camino Frances
After farewelling my Camino hiking buddies in O Cebreiro, I’d expected a mostly solo stroll to the Santiago finish line. Though, I should have realised that a pilgrim is never really alone; there is always a new friend to meet or an old face to find. By the end of Day 28, I realised, that with a mere 76 kilometres remaining, I longed for the company of the walking community.

The Pensão Agrícola is a rural hotel with 6 rooms with private patios,
3 in the original building (IN) and 3 in the exterior modules (OUT).
The fertile area of the Barrocal Algarve, to the leeward of the region, bore fruit in the form of rural accommodation, called Pensão Agrícola. This unknown Algarve, framed by orange groves, fig trees, almond trees, arbutus and arbutus trees, lies between the historic town of Tavira and the picturesque Cacela Velha, just 1.5 km from the Ria Formosa and the deserted beaches that characterize it.

GUARDA GOTHIC CATHEDRAL PORTUGAL (PART 12)
On the northern cusp of the Serra da Estrela mountain range, Guarda is built around a medieval castle. There are remnants of these walls and two towers in Guarda, as well as a Jewish quarter where Hebrew inscriptions have lasted since the 1100s. The dominant Gothic cathedral is the star attraction and allows you to step onto its roof to survey the city. While away on the old town streets, in awe of the 17th-century palaces and medieval mansions still sporting their families’ coats of arms.
If you don’t know us already, we're Helen, Andy and our self built glampervan Giovanna. We transformed from her from an empty panel van into our tiny home on wheels. Inspired by a love of travel, we make videos as we travel the world experiencing new countries and cultures. So why not join us on our vanlife adventures.
