The municipality of Enköping is located by Lake Mälaren and with three international airports within an hour's travel time from the central town. Good communications with Stockholm, Uppsala and Västerås mean a convenient commuting distance. In addition to this, Enköping has 38 cities within a twelve-mile radius, which has given rise to the name Sweden's most central town.
