In this video I take you to Limburg an der Lahn in Germany. Limburg an der Lahn is the county seat of the central Hessian district Limburg-Weilburg and with about 35,000 inhabitants also its most populous city.

Due to the Second World War, only a few towns like Limburg were able to preserve the entire ensemble of medieval buildings almost intact. For this reason, the formerly walled city center between St. George's Cathedral, Grabenstrasse and the 600-year-old Lahn Bridge is now listed as the entire Old Town and Frankfurter Vorstadt.

The Altstadt (Old Town) boasts a fine cathedral and is full of narrow streets with timber-frame houses, dating mainly from the 17th and 18th centuries. That's why it is located on the German Timber-Frame Road.

This tour was filmed on May 5th, 2022 in Limburg an der Lahn, Germany.

Today I am uploading my 62nd video and it is a short travel video for you all.
Welcome to Ruedesheim (Rüdesheim), the town famous for wines and wine making. If you are in Germany visit this photogenic beautiful town in the Hessian Rheingau-Taunus district.
Things to do:
1. Enjoy a walk along the Rhine river or you can go for a boat trip to explore the town.
2. Walk along the Old town especially the Drosselgasse which is a lane lined with really pretty shops & restaurants. Ofcourse if you like, you can taste wine from any of the shops there:)
3. Take a ride in the cable car (Seilbahn) from the Oberstrasse and enjoy the beautiful view over the Wines and Rhine. Different types of tours available.

After stopping at Limberg and having a short look around their old town we took a short drive to Runkel Castle and went on the self-tour. At this time it cost 4 euro each. I thought it was worth it. You get to see quite a bit in the castle and the view from the tower is very nice.
Runkel is on the Lahn River just outside of Limberg in Hesse, Germany: Schloßplatz 2, 65594 Runkel, Germany.

I used a gimbal to steady the iPhone as I was walking in and out of the castle.
