Ledesma is a town in the province of Salamanca. According to the 2014 census there are 1,795 inhabitants. The municipality of Ledesma includes rural land and covers a total of 141.22 km². Its altitude is 730 metres above sea level.
In ancient Roman times, the town was called Bletisa. Ledesma is possible that the Bletonesii lived in this area. Ledesma Spanish postal code is 37100. is a municipality and Spanish town of the province of Salamanca , in the autonomous community of Castile and Leon . It distinguishes itself as the most important nucleus of population of the north salmantino and is considered the capital or service center of the region of the Land of Ledesma . It belongs to the judicial party of Salamanca and to the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Comarca de Ledesma .
Ledesma municipal term is formed by localities of Cuadrilleros of the Dieces, the Cerezo, Stakes, Friars of Santa Maria, La Sagrada, La Samasa, Ledesma, La Vadima, Muchachos, Nóguez, Pelilla, Zorita, Aldeagutiérrez, Cuadrilleros, El Casar , La Riverita, La Samarita, Santa Marina, Santo Domingo and Zafroncino.
Ledesma is located right in the north central end of the province of Salamanca , bordering the Zamoran region of Sayago , with which it shares landscape, history, culture and traditions. At its end the natural landscape is dominated, composed of extensive plains dotted with small elevations and the beginning of the unevenness that originates in its passage the Tormes river that, later, arriving at Portugal, give origin to the protected natural space of the natural park of Arribes del Duero .

San Vicente de la Barquera is a municipality of Cantabria in northern Spain. It had a population of 4,412 in 2002. An old fishermen's refuge, San Vicente de la Barquera offers one of the most picturesque sights on the Cantabrian coast, with its beaches, the old village and the exceptional backdrop of the snow-capped mountains of the Picos de Europa.
San Vicente's old town was declared to be of Cultural Interest in 1987 because of its interesting collection of monuments, forming part of which are the church of Santa María de los Ángeles, built between the 13th and 16th centuries, the castle and the remains of a wall. The bridges are another sign of the town's identity, such as the Maza bridge, with its 28 arches, which was built on the orders of the Catholic Monarchs in the 16th century, or Parral, which dates from the 18th century.
It also has some magnificent beaches, such as Fuentes, Primera de San Vicente, El Rosal, El Tostadero, Merón and Gerra, and a beautiful estuary full of brightly-coloured boats. San Vicente de la Barquera's maritime vocation can be appreciated in its gastronomy, which includes excellent fish and seafood and which has its greatest expression in sorropotún or Barquera hotpot, a stew prepared with tuna and potatoes.
