Assin Manso is a town in the Central Region of Ghana. It is located 40 kilometers along the N8 Cape Coast - Kumasi highway. The town is well known for the role it played as a slave market during the slave trade. It is also known for the Assin Manso Senior High School.
Assin Besease and Assin Andoe are towns in the Assin south District on the N8 Kumasi Yamoransa Highway in the Central Region of Ghana.
Assin South District is one of the twenty-two districts in Central Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Assin District in 1988, until the southern part of the district was split off to create Assin South District on 18 February 2004; thus the remaining part has been renamed as the first Assin North District, with Assin Fosu as its capital town (which it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status on 29 February 2008 to become Assin North Municipal District, and later the southern part of the district was split off to create the present Assin North District on 15 March 2018). The district assembly is located in the northwest part of Central Region and has Nsuaem Kyekyewere as its capital town.

Shama District is one of the fourteen districts in Western Region, Ghana.Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Shama Ahanta East Metropolitan District in 1988, which was created from the former Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Authority Council, until the eastern part of the district was split off to create Shama District on 29 February 2008; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan District.

Abura Dunkwa is town and serves as the capital of the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District, which is a district located in the Central Region of Ghana. Aburaman Senior High school and Samtet Oxford Snr High School are located at Abura Dunkwa.
The Geography of Abura Dunkwa is low-lying with loose quaternary sands and it rises up to 80 metres above sea level. The town is drained by a number of rivers and streams, including the Offin River, Birim River and small streams.
Abura-Dunkwa is a junction station on the narrow gauge Ghana Railway system.
