Towards the end of 2015, the Slovenian Tourist Board invited me on an incredible 5 day trip. If you read my blog Magical Adventures in Europe's Most Underrated Country, you'll know I ate and drank my way around the country, and was amazed at how beautiful it was. Totally underrated - why don't more people talk about it, I wondered?
My visit was focused on food and wine to celebrate the Brda region winning EDEN (European Destinations of Excellence award), which this time around was recognising areas for their local cuisine, gastronomy and tourism. While we spent plenty of time exploring the picturesque Brda region, I also got to see some of the country's most beautiful sights, including Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj and Vogel Ski Resort.
It's a VERY photogenic country... but I decided to go one step further and make a video of my adventures in Slovenia.

If you're planning a trip to the picturesque country of Slovenia, chances are you've realised that one way to see this (reasonably) small country effectively, is to base yourself in the capital city of Ljubljana and arrange some day trips out. Seems simple, right?!
Well, when you actually start researching, there seem to be HUNDREDS of possible tours. So how do you know which is right for you? Fortunately, I've done these day trips once or twice whilst visiting Slovenia and decided to take the hassle out of your planning ... or at least I hope I have!
