Right in the middle of Canada lies the province of Manitoba, which is home to the city of Winnipeg, some incredible lakes, and the polar bear and beluga whale capital of the world.
We learned about the history of human rights, did yoga with goats, learned about Canada’s history with the Hudson Bay Company, and snorkeled with beluga whales. We also relaxed in a Nordic-inspired spa, stood in the centre of Canada, and walked on the arctic tundra. We really packed a lot of adventures into our ten short days and can't wait to return one day and explore the province further.

It is now summer in Canada and the family decided to go for a picnic somewhere closer to our home. Voyageur Park in the town of Devon was chosen, it is a day-use only city public park located just a 20 minute-drive southwest of the City of Edmonton in Alberta.
The Park has trails for biking and walking along the river and its adjoining forest. There are lots of parking and toilet facilities with plenty of nice picnic areas for families or groups. There is also a boat launch area.
It is a great place to relax and see the scenery along the valley with a nice view of the steep eroded banks across the North Saskatchewan River. The river is quite calm and peaceful in this area with relatively long gravelly beach banks ideal for swimming, kayaking, boat-riding and sun-bathing. Some people were observed fishing, gold panning and sluicing.

Our FIRST TIME in EXETER, Devon 🇬🇧 - Worth a visit?
This travel vlog is about our first time in Exeter, Devon's beautiful capital city in the southwest of England. Since Exeter is not the most popular UK destination, we decide: Is it worth a visit?
Brandon starts the day with some solo travel, tries some delicious Cornish pasties from the pastry shop Oggy Oggy, and explores the streets of this quaint little city. We meet up for a tasty pub meal at the White Hart Pub to end our first day. The second day starts with a delightful breakfast at The Boston Tea Party Exeter. After a few more hours strolling through Exeter's streets, including the narrowest street in Britain, we have a yummy seafood dinner at Rockfish Exeter.

Devon Island - The Largest Uninhabited Island In The World
Devon Island in Canada, known for its Mars-like-habitat is the largest uninhabited island in the world. Devon Island is located in the Baffin Bay in Nunavut's Qikiqtaaluk Region in northern Canada. It is the 27th largest island in the world. Ellesmere Island lies to the north of Devon Island and Baffin Bay lies to its east. Devon Island contains several small mountain ranges, such as the Treuter Mountains, Haddington Range and the Cunningham Mountains.
Although completely devoid of human settlements, a few species reside on the island. The short growing season of only about 40 to 55 days and the low temperatures (2° to 8°C in summer) discourage the growth of plants here. Winters are extremely harsh with temperatures being as low as −50 °C. The limited solar energy input is also one of the factors influencing the existence of life on this island. Little precipitation is also received on the Devon Island.
Devon Island is home to a 14-mile wide Haughton Crater. The “out-of-the-world-like” landscape here is cold, dry, and rocky. Its location in isolation from the rest of the world and continues to exist as if located on another planet. Thus, no humans dare settle on this land although astronauts preparing for Mars missions do pay occasional visits to Devon Island to get used to extra-terrestrial conditions.
