Cumberland Falls in Corbin, Ky

Welcome to a little part of Kentucky!
Open me!!

Cumberland Falls is a great place to have fun, hike, swim, and do all kinds of outdoor activities.
Moonbow is a special thing that happens from the moon and the falls. The moon makes a rainbow in the falls. It was amazing to see with my own eyes and unfortunately I couldn't get it on camera but it was kind of best that way because I got to focus on it with my whole mind!

Cumberland Falls

The scenic waterfalls of Kentucky are as majestic as it gets, and Cumberland Falls is the grandest of them all. Measuring approximately 68 feet tall and 125 feet wide, this impressive waterfall has earned its moniker of “the Niagara of the South.” The 3,600 cubic feet of water that spills over the sandstone edge every second creates a formidable roar and a breathtaking sight, day or night. For a truly unforgettable experience, visit during a full moon to try to catch a glimpse of the moonbow; this extremely rare phenomenon, formed by the mist in the air from the falls, is one of only two naturally occurring moonbows in the world.

The falls are located within Cumberland Falls State Resort Park, which is home to the historic Dupont Lodge – featuring solid hemlock beams, knotty pine paneling and massive stone fireplaces. Choose from guest rooms, cabins or cottages, all offering beautiful views and a full range of amenities for a complete vacation. Don't forget to check out a whitewater rafting trip below the falls with Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort.

Cumberland Falls State Park, Corbin, Kentucky - Park Travel Review

Cumberland Falls State Park in Kentucky is home to the Niagara of the South. The main feature is a beautiful waterfall that is part of the Cumberland River. It is a must see destination in Eastern Kentucky. Please subscribe to our channel if you enjoy exploring our parks and Public Lands!
Cumberland Falls truly is one of the most stunning southeast waterfalls. Some visitors come to the park specifically for the moonbow, but that didn't occur while we were there, but we did get to see a rainbow in the waterfall in the morning. There are several paved trails in the park. We hiked along those for our waterfall views.
This was the very first video I ever made. Good learning tool for later.
We stayed in Corbin, KY and drove into Cumberland Falls State park. There is nice lodge there and the waterfall is BEAUTIFUL.
