Hello, and welcome to a video all about LEAVES! And specifically, the different plants that you can find here in Costa Rica!
For a month now I have been working in sloth conservation, and since then I have had the privilege of learning about what sloths eat. For any sick or injured animal, it is essential to provide a natural diet before they are released back to the wild. All sloths were born to be free, so learning about what different herbivores in the rainforest do and don’t eat has been extremely interesting for me.

Kicking off our adventure on the Ruta de las Flores, our first stop was @cafealbania in El Salvador. Just a scenic hour and a half drive from San Salvador, this adventure park is a mix of thrill and tranquility that’s hard to beat.
Once we arrived, it was time to dive into the fun. First up was the labyrinth—a giant maze that really put our navigation skills to the test. Then, we hit the zip lines. Soaring above the treetops with incredible views all around was a rush like no other. Lastly you have to go down the iconic rainbow slide! If you’re more into ground-level thrills, they also have ATV rides that let you explore the rugged terrain up close.
The drive from San Salvador along the Ruta de las Flores is an experience in itself, with its vibrant flower-filled landscapes and charming villages. Café Albania was the perfect start to our journey, blending nature and excitement in the beautiful El Salvadorian countryside.
Whether you’re seeking thrills, love being in nature, or simply looking for a unique escape, Café Albania has it all. It’s the ideal break from city life, offering an unforgettable experience.

Getting Lost on an Active Volcano - All Local Cleanup Party #10 - Volcán Concepción, Ometepe Island
We learned what the most important thing to keep clean and organized is during this All Local Cleanup Party #10 hike up Volcán Concepción— yourself. We judge so many things to be out of place, when we really don’t know for sure that it is. Perhaps it is only our own minds and bodies that we need to keep organized and clean-clear from time-to-time rather than consistently wasting our energy blaming others or being ashamed of ourselves. We meant to cleanup a trail, but upon losing the trail due to overgrowth, we needed up NEEDING GARBAGE to find our way! Now we have an even greater perspective of what we are doing with the All Local Cleanup Party project, and are contemplating that the solution is already here, in plain sight, with or without the rubbish… Watch the recap to find out more about what we experienced getting stuck on the side of Volcan Concepción on Ometepe Island, having to camp without camping gear and then losing the trail and having to trek through miles of pure jungle to find our way back. We don’t regret it, and are grateful for the experience, but boy did we learn!
These Cleanup Party events, generally open and free to the public, brings people from all around the world together to cleanup internally with a free yoga + qigong class and then cleanup externally all the rubbish in the surrounding area. We do one every month as we drive around the whole world (2020-2025)!

The ruins of Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de la Limpia Concepción is a beautiful location to visit. It's more than ruins. It is located in a park with beautiful kept grounds.
The church is Costa Rica oldest church. It was built between 1575 and 1580 by the Spanish.
This church also has a legend about its construction. From Klarna.Trips According to legend, an indigenous farmer found an image of the Virgin Mary, which he was unable to remove from the location. The event led to the church being built at its current location.
It's a beautiful and interesting church and worth the visit.

Le Nicaragua est le 4ème pays que nous avons visité lors de ce long voyage de 10 mois.
Situé sur l'arc volcanique d'Amérique centrale, il abrite même l'un des volcans les plus actifs au monde, le Masaya 🌋
Son nom est une combinaison du mot Nicarao (peuple indigène qui vivait sur ces terres avant l'arrivée des Espagnols) & agua 💦
Ce pays, le plus grand d'Amérique centrale, abrite 6,7 M d'habitants. Il est connu pour sa production de cacao, de café ☕, de bananes 🍌, de canne à sucre mais aussi...de cigares et de rhum ! Et oui, suite à l'immigration de nombreux Cubains au Nicaragua lors de la guerre froide, ceux-ci ont amenés avec eux leur production.
