Georgia is a state in the Southeastern region of the United States, bordered to the north by Tennessee and North Carolina; to the northeast by South Carolina; to the southeast by the Atlantic Ocean; to the south by Florida; and to the west by Alabama. Georgia is the 24th-largest state in area and 8th most populous of the 50 United States. Its 2020 population was 10,711,908, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.[5] Atlanta, a beta(+) global city, is both the state's capital and its largest city. The Atlanta metropolitan area, with a population of more than 6 million people in 2021, is the 8th most populous metropolitan area in the United States and contains about 57% of Georgia's entire population.[6]

Founded in 1732 as the Province of Georgia and first settled in 1733, Georgia became a British royal colony in 1752. It was the last and southernmost of the original Thirteen Colonies to be established. Georgia is defined by a diversity of landscapes, flora, and fauna. The state's northernmost regions include the Blue Ridge Mountains, part of the larger Appalachian Mountain system. The Piedmont plateau extends from the foothills of the Blue Ridge south to the Fall Line, an escarpment to the Coastal Plain defining the state's southern region. Georgia's highest point is Brasstown Bald at 4,784 feet (1,458 m) above sea level; the lowest is the Atlantic Ocean. With the exception of some high-altitude areas in the Blue Ridge, the entirety of the state has a humid subtropical climate. Of the states entirely east of the Mississippi River, Georgia is the largest in land area.[11]

Chicago, officially the City of Chicago, is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Illinois, and the third most populous city in the United States. With an estimated population of 2,693,976 in 2019, it is also the most populous city in the Midwestern United States. Chicago is the county seat of Cook County, the second-most populous county in the U.S., while a small portion of the city's O'Hare Airport also extends into DuPage County. Chicago is the principal city of the Chicago metropolitan area, defined as either the U.S. Census Bureau's Metropolitan Statistical Area (9.4 million people) or the Combined Statistical Area (almost 10 million residents), often called Chicagoland. It constitutes the third most populous urban area in the United States after New York City and Los Angeles.

Located on the shores of freshwater Lake Michigan, Chicago was incorporated as a city in 1837 near a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed and grew rapidly in the mid-19th century.[8] After the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, which destroyed several square miles and left more than 100,000 homeless, the city made a concerted effort to rebuild. The construction boom accelerated population growth throughout the following decades, and by 1900, less than 30 years after the great fire, Chicago was the fifth-largest city in the world. Chicago made noted contributions to urban planning and zoning standards, including new construction styles (including the Chicago School of architecture), the development of the City Beautiful Movement, and the steel-framed skyscraper.

Chicago is an international hub for finance, culture, commerce, industry, education, technology, telecommunications, and transportation. It is the site of the creation of the first standardized futures contracts, issued by the Chicago Board of Trade, which today is part of the largest and most diverse derivatives market in the world, generating 20% of all volume in commodities and financial futures alone. O'Hare International Airport is routinely ranked among the world's top six busiest airports according to tracked data by the Airports Council International. The region also has the largest number of federal highways and is the nation's railroad hub. The Chicago area has one of the highest gross domestic products (GDP) in the world, generating $689 billion in 2018. The economy of Chicago is diverse, with no single industry employing more than 14% of the workforce. It is home to several Fortune 500 companies, including Allstate, Boeing, Caterpillar, Exelon, Kraft Heinz, McDonald's, Mondelez International, Sears, United Airlines Holdings, US Foods, and Walgreens.

Chicago's 58 million tourist visitors in 2018 set a new record, and Chicago has been voted the best large city in the U.S. for four years in a row by Condé Nast Traveler. The city was ranked first in the 2018 Time Out City Life Index, a global urban quality of life survey of 15,000 people in 32 cities. Landmarks in the city include Millennium Park, Navy Pier, the Magnificent Mile, the Art Institute of Chicago, Museum Campus, the Willis (Sears) Tower, Grant Park, the Museum of Science and Industry, and Lincoln Park Zoo. Chicago's culture includes the visual arts, literature, film, theatre, comedy (especially improvisational comedy), food, and music, particularly jazz, blues, soul, hip-hop, gospel, and electronic dance music including house music. Of the area's many colleges and universities, the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and the University of Illinois at Chicago are classified as highest research doctoral universities. Chicago has professional sports teams in each of the major professional leagues, including two Major League Baseball teams.

10 Cheapest Cities To Live In The United States

What are the cheapest cities to live in the United States? Hey everyone! If you're like me, you're always on the lookout for a good deal. And when it comes to finding a new place to live, nothing is more important than getting the best bang for your buck. In this video, I will show you the 10 cheapest cities to live in America. But please remember, just because a city is cheap doesn't mean it's not worth residing in. Actually, some of these cities are downright amazing. Trust me; living in a budget-friendly town has some great benefits. So if you're looking for a new place to call home, make sure you watch this video all the way through.
10. Grand Rapids, Michigan
Grand Rapids is a beautiful city, and it's the perfect place to raise a family. You probably heard that it is one of the cheapest cities to live in the USA. That's right! Grand Rapids has a significantly lower cost of living compared to other major U.S. metro areas. Even though the city's annual average income is lower than the national average, the area allows you to make the most of your money. Despite price growth, housing costs are lower than the national median. Additionally, Grand Rapidians spend less on basic expenses than people in other parts of the country, including groceries and medical care. But not just the low cost of living that makes Grand Rapids a great city - it's also the quality of life. Grand Rapids has a thriving arts and culture scene. And, of course, it's not far from some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the country. So if you're looking for an affordable place to live with a high quality of life, you may check out Grand Rapids, Michigan.
9. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
This charming city has a population of just over 300,000 people, making it the perfect size for those who want to avoid the hustle and bustle of a big city but still have access to all the amenities they need. The cost of living in Pittsburgh is relatively low, and plenty of affordable housing options are available. Additionally, Pittsburgh is home to several employers, so finding a job shouldn't be a problem. In fact, the increase in employment options has made Pittsburgh a desirable location for families and graduates. Compared to other major cities, Pittsburgh has a more affordable housing market. With new industries moving to Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh's outdated reputation as a blue-collar city is being replaced, and the quality of living continues to rise.

8. Fayetteville, Arkansas
The drastic growth being experienced in the cities around Fayetteville is drawing attention to the city. Now, we’ve found that it’s one of the cities with the most affordable cost of living. No wonder the location that used to be a small town has metamorphosed into a city of culture, commerce, and entrepreneurship, crowned with the presence of higher education. It is home to the University of Arkansas, the birthplace of Walmart, and the headquarters of Tyson Foods. To live in this city, the median monthly rent is just 868 dollars while the median home price is 203,150 dollars if you desire to own a home. If you put that side-by-side with the average annual salary of 50,470 dollars and an unemployment rate of just 4.7 percent, you will understand why people from all over the world call Fayetteville home.
7. Knoxville, Tennessee
You might not think Knoxville, Tennessee is a cheap city, but it actually is. The cost of living in Knoxville is 17.7% less than the national average, and housing prices are a whopping 30% less.
