The location is so large you will need multiple visits to see it all and if you have kids, they offer a scavenger hunt to keep them occupied while you browse.

Today I am uploading my 84th video and it is a short travel video for you all. Explore Cologne (Köln) in one day. Its the fourth largest city in Germany & the largest city of the state (Land) of North Rhine–Westphalia.

1. Cologne Cathedral
Situated just beside Köln’s main train station, Cologne Cathedral is the first landmark that you will see. The Cologne Cathedral world heritage site is open to tourists on working days (Monday to Saturday) between 10 a.m. & 5 p.m. & on Sundays between 1 p.m. & 4 p.m. You can also climb the South Tower of Cologne Cathedral which is open to visitors between 9 a.m. & 5 p.m to enjoy the beauty of Cologne from the top.
2. The Chocolate Museum (Schokoladen Museum)
Learn about the history of chocolates, about how a chocolate is made at the chocolate factory & get loads of free chocolates to taste. A must visit for chocolate lovers!
3. The Hohenzollern Bridge
It is a railway and pedestrian bridge crossing the Rhine River. It is one of the best spots to walk in Cologne, with great views of the city and the Cathedral. Couples add a padlock to the bridge & throw the key into the river as their symbol of eternal love.
4. Cologne Triangle (KölnTriangle) Observation Deck
The Triangle Observation Deck is on top of the KölnTriangle building. The KölnTriangle is 103 meters (339 feet) tall. Enjoy unique & exciting views from the top & also feel the cool winds up there. Its open for visitors from Sunday to thursday from 12 noon to 8 p.m., and on friday, saturday and public holidays from 12 noon to 10 p.m.
5. Cologne toy train (Bimmelbahnen)
Kids will surely love this! It is a mini train & you can enjoy the most beautiful & interesting sights on a „HOP ON – HOP OFF“ –Tour. They will drive through the historical Old Town to the Chocolate Museum and Rheinau Harbor or alongside the River Rhine to the Zoo or Flora (Cologne´s Botanical Gardens).
