VIVA MEXICO! American Travel Couple's BEST DAY EVER in MEXICO CITY | Mexico City Travel Guide 2020

Viva Mexico! So what happens when an American Travel Couple explores Mexico City including one of the most up and coming neighborhoods of Mexico City? The BEST DAY EVER! 😆

► 🔴 If you're new, Subscribe! →:

In this Mexico City Travel Guide 2020 we ventured through one of Mexico City's up and coming neighborhoods, Colonia Juarez, Mexico City. This neighborhood was pretty much devastated during the 1985 earthquake but it's been making a strong comeback and it shows.

This neighborhood in Mexico City now known as CDMX has a very hipster vibe with tons of shops, restaurants, and the architectural detail in this neighborhood really feels like vibrant with a classic twist.

🇲🇽BOROLA CAFE
I'll just let the video speak for itself. The best way to dive into a delicious coffee and pastry shop is to get hands on with making one of Mexico's famous desserts. The churro!

🇲🇽 One of the highlights is Chapultapec or commonly called the Bosque de Chapultepec in Mexico City. This park is one of the largest city parks in the Western Hempisphere.
There are over 100 small business stands from food stands serving some of the tasty local delights, gift stands, clothing stands, you can even get yourself one of the Lucha Libre masks.
This Mexico City Vlog is about showing you what makes this fantastic city so special.
We actually just did a Massive Street Food tour with a twist.

🇲🇽Lucha Libre at Arena Mexico
There is a pretty famous event that happens here in Mexico City and it's called Lucha Libre.
This acrobatic, colorful, mostly masked wresting event is very popular. We just had to experience this to see if stands up to the hype. We even attended a class to make our own Lucha Libre masks right before we headed to the We gave it an honest rating. You'll see

🇲🇽 La Casa De Toño - A VERY popular restaurant chain, known for it's Traditional Mexican Menu. Oh and it's INCREDIBLY affordable. You get a ton of delicious food and the prices are so cheap. Because of this it was pretty packed when we got there and definitely not a place if you want a nice quiet conversation with the people you're with. It's like cafeteria style and full of energy and vibrancy.

Our day guide, John, immediately brought the knowledge and tasty treats as we explored Guanajuato. Being in the same state as the more well known San Miguel de Allende, visitors to Guanajuato benefit from smaller tourist crowds, lower prices, and a much larger city to explore! A UNESCO World Heritage city dating back to 1559, Guanajuato is filled with colonial buildings built alongside and on TOP of an ancient river. The bridges to cross the river eventually became a second floor to the city with buildings on tip, and later full-fledged tunnels that criss-cross and enable people and cars to move around town. We traveled UP and DOWN all over Guanajuato as we sampled local dishes like Acelga Tamales (made with swiss chard!) to keep our energy.

After a pit stop back at the RV to change (we found camping INSIDE Guanajuato to make walking into the city center much easier!), it was time to switch gears and guides. Tim Leffel, founder of GTO Walking Tours, met up with us in front of the famous Teatro Juarez for an evening of tacos, tequila, and fun. We roamed local haunts, tried Pulque, one of the oldest beverages anywhere, and had our fair share of tacos, tequila and sweets!

Built into steep hills, large sections of Guanajuato are only accessible by foot. Remember to take breaks, enjoy a snack or three, and consider a guide to help you navigate!

Our thanks again to John and Tim from gtowalkingtours.com for providing their time, knowledge and sharing a lot of laughs. If that wasn't enough, be sure to stick around for some amazing fire dancing by John at the end of our video!

First Impressions of Mexico City 🇲🇽 What CDMX is Like in 2024 😲 Wow!

Travel Guide to Mexico City 🇲🇽 Welcome to Mexico City (CDMX)! It's our first time here and we're so excited to finally be exploring this incredible city. This video is all about our first impressions of the biggest city in North America and we're definitely surprised by what we've discovered.
We're staying in the Roma Sud / La Condesa area of Mexico City. We spend the video exploring the local parks (Parque Mexico) and the green spaces around the neighbourhood. We stop into lunch to try some amazing Mexican tacos and tortas at Torta Al Fuego (

Later in the video we head to Centro where we visit the big square, officially known as Plaza de la Constitución or El Zócalo.

Lastly we head back to our hotel/apartment which has been having water issues:
