Places to see in ( Parma - Italy ) Parco Cittadella
The Cittadella di Parma is a pentagonal fortress built in the city of Emilia in the late 16th century. The structure was built by the Duke of Parma and Piacenza Alessandro Farnese and entrusted to engineers Giovanni Antonio Stirpio de 'Brunelli and Genesio Bresciani with the collaboration of Smeraldo Smeraldi. In order to achieve it, the Maggiore canal was diverted, the course of which was joined to that of the Comune canal up to Porta Nuova (today Barriera Farini).
On an annual basis, the Cittadella Park is host to the day of art and creativity, an event in which the various students, coming from the main upper institutes of the city, gather to exhibit and admire some works of various kinds, made by themselves, such as paintings, drawings, comics, photographs, sculptures, and body painting . At the same time musical performances are held, with DJ sets and concerts organized by the students. At the end of the day a jury composed of boys and professors rewards those who are evaluated the best.
Born for defensive purposes, and for this reason equipped with bastions and ditches , it was later used as a barracks , as a prison for political crimes and as a place for capital executions. Between the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, the fortress, which retains its original pentagonal form, has been renovated and used as a public park, with areas dedicated to sport and activities for children.
The main entrance of the structure, characterized by a monumental facade in Carrara marble , is located to the north, while the other entrance, the Porta del Soccorso, to the south, is provided with five bulwarks . The main entrance door, designed by Simone Moschino and built by Giambattista Carra in 1596 , has been preserved without subsequent modifications.

Cittadella Italy Walking Tour
Cittadella Italy Walking Tour
Cittadella, a town close to three major cities, such as Padua, Vicenza and Treviso, was built at the intersection between Postumia and the Valsugana road. It is a fundamental town for defending the interests of the Paduan area, especially in the area between the Brenta and the Musone in order to support exchanges between the Po Valley and the Alpine territory (along the Venice-Lombardy axis).
Cittadella is located in an area known as the “kingdom of the forest and the swamp” and it is thought that it was a destination for transhumants and a sort of barbarian enclosure and that in 1200 it was used as a fortress on the Middle Brenta by the Paduans. From a legal point of view, this city was prosperous, with its own statutes issued in 1236 by Padua.
As for the urban component, the only one of its kind in the whole of Veneto, it is characterized by two perpendicular crosspieces enclosed by an elliptical wall. The recently completed restoration of the Camminamento di Ronda allows visitors to admire the city from above, in its entirety and from multiple points of view. From here, in fact, it can be seen how inside the city is organized according to the geometric checkerboard system of the typical Roman streets; in this way merchants and artisans were strongly motivated to defend their interests, including the free passage of goods.
During the Venetian age (15th-18th century) the walls of Cittadella were repeatedly abused and tampered with, causing in the long run numerous damages and alterations to their stability. In fact, the citizens to fill holes and depressions in the territory caused the thinning of the buttress in beaten earth that was inside the walls, thus encouraging the loss of the important support to the walls. The repeated and continuous removal of the internal buttress, or rather of the embankment from the base of the walls, caused the collapse of a long stretch of walls between Porta Vicenza and Porta Bassano in 1774. Over forty meters of walls collapsed over some houses, while another part remained suspended with the risk of further ruin. The wall, in fact, was repaired as badly as possible, to the point that since the ruined section on the ground was not rebuilt, in 1785 a new collapse was recorded.
In those years, after a series of restorations of the Porta Padova clock tower, it too collapsed to the ground, and it was decided to restore only the bell later. Furthermore, due to the absence, due to omitted maintenance, of wooden or stone protections of the four access bridges to the city, a series of accidents followed (in the 18th century) which involved the inhabitants, thus indicating the need for interventions of restoration and protection also of these four bridges. All four wooden doors of the doors were then completely rebuilt; in May 1797, with the end of the Republic of Venice, the walls of Cittadella became state property, so a long period began in which the local communities were forced to claim possession to defend them from usury, bad weather and to preserve their military beauty.
The walls of Cittadella, perfectly preserved over time, are one of the few examples of a defensive system among the most beautiful in Europe with a walkway that can still be traveled.
Since 1994 the architect Patrizia Valle of the Studio Valle Architettura and Urbanistica in Venice has concretely started the restoration of the walls through intervention projects divided into four phases, coinciding with the sectors of the fortified system. The works continued almost uninterruptedly until 2013 and ended with the recovery of the southeastern quadrant of the walls and the completion of the restoration of the entire perimeter of the walls

Pisa - Italy | 20 Things to Do | Travel video | GoPro 10 & DJI Mini 2
Pisa is the very beautiful small town. Pisa is ideal for a day trip or as a city for a euro weekend. If you are here for a few days, you can enjoy a walk around the Arno River and visit many amazing Italian restaurants. Of course, the main attraction of Pisa is the Leaning Tower of Pisa. There is another falling tower in Pisa, next to the church of San Michele degli Scalzi. Enjoy my video from Pisa and don't hesitate to visit this cute city, where everything is around the corner.

Cittadella! Cosa vedere nella città Veneta
Siamo stati a Cittadella, in Veneto e ce ne siamo innamorati😃.
