Top tips for catching buses in Zimbabwe:
✔️ Book Eagleliner as they are the most reliable
✔️Book a window seat near the front, for safety and so you can always keep an eye on your big suitcase in the hold to make sure it doesn't accidently get taken out before your stop
✔️ Book the ticket the day before to ensure a seat
✔️Buses are pretty reliable and sometimes even leave EARLY so get there half an hour before to ensure you have plenty of time!

Kwekwe Town From Above | Clean & Organized

Kwekwe Zimbabwe is a city in the Midlands province of central Zimbabwe. Kwekwe is the 6th largest city in Zimbabwe. Kwekwe town and neighbouring Redcliff are the headquarters ZISCO, the country's largest steelworks. It also hostsZIMASCO, the largest ferrochrome producer. Kwekwe is Zimbabwe's richest city in terms of minerals.

Like most urban areas in Zimbabwe, the city of Kwekwe hosts dozens of schools. Amaveni High School, Mbizo High School and Manunure High School recently expanded to offer A-level classes. Amaveni High serves the high density suburb of Amaveni while Mbizo and Manunure serve the high density suburb of Mbizo. Shungu High School is located about 16 km from Kwekwe. It is a Catholic run school. The middle-class suburbs close to the city centre have Kwekwe High School and Goldridge College, plus the primary schools including Goldridge Primary School, Fitchlea Primary School, Kwekwe Junior High School and Globe & Phoenix Primary School, Maryward Primary School and Sally Mugabe Primary School.

Ngomakurira Mountains Aerial View

Hiking this mountain is one of the top best things to do in Zimbabwe. Ngomakurira found in Goromonzi (place where they beat the drums) is a very large granite mountain 30 km from the outskirts of Harare, Zimbabwe. At one time the drums were regularly beaten there at a full moon. Close and similar to Ngomakurira mountain is the Domboshava mountain. However hikers who prefer a more strenuous hike than Domboshava need to travel out a little further into the Chinamora Communal Lands to Ngomakurira which is Domboshava’s big brother. Ngomakurira is known to many Harare residents as an area of intense beauty and great spiritual significance. Many of the hilltops and woodland areas have stone altars that are used by the Zionist churches as places of worship.

All you need to know about An Eye for the Wild Rehab & Sanctuary (which is another Zimbabwe travel destination in Kwekwe, Midlands) is shared in this vlog by a Zimbabwean Travel Youtuber.

As you will see in the video, I was shattered when I received the message while standing by their gate that actually they do not open on Thursdays... Oh I was so broken because this could have been said way earlier in our several communications. However, one of the owners was extremely kind and apologetic that I ended up making what would later become one of the best decisions on this 4 provinces expedition we had embarked on. Seeing all the animals in the sanctuary, it was an amazing & inspiring learning experience. This family is hands on, literally sacrificing their own comfort & so many other things for wildlife's wellbeing & for us to learn more about the beauty our country has. Munyaradzi Munaro goes into the memory lane outlining the history of two planes, A6-436 Vickers Viscount 816. c/n 436 and Vickers Viscount c/n 446 V838 series which are now stationed at Chegutu. The two planes were supposed to be used as a vibrant restaurant/ bar as well as a family recreational park. Unfortunately the business never took off due tom politics.
