3 Medieval Cities in the South of France | Episode .07 | France Travel Vlog 2021
In this episode Jonathan and I explore the 3 medieval cities of Cordes-sur-Ciel, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val and Carcassonne in the Southwest of France. In Saint- Antonin we walked and shopped through the famous market and ate at A la Table d'Antoine. In Cordes-sur-Ciel we climbed to steep cobblestone streets to get to the gorgeous panoramic view at the top. We also explored the meditation houses dedicated to Anandamayi Ma. In Carcassonne we explored the fortified city and tried cassoulet.*

Everything I use to film:
While I am on the go, I film with my iPhone 11 Pro Max on the Dji Mobile Osmo 3. This allows me to get super smooth shots. I combine that with the either the Saramonic lavalier mic or Rhode mic and use a mount to attach it to the gimbal.

When I film at my apartment, I use my iPhone Pro Max as the main camera and my Canon 6D with the 24-105 f/4 lens for B-roll and photos. For the overhead shots, I use an overhead camera rig to mount my Canon 6D and connect a camera monitor so I can view the shot. And when my camera is set up on the ground, I use a quick release tripod. For lighting, I use the Neewer ring light and for audio, the Saramonic lavalier mic or Rhode mic (Linked Above).

To edit, I use DaVinci Resolve on my MSI GS 66 Stealth Gaming Computer. To store all of my footage, I use the SanDisk 1TB SSD Card.

Tarn et Garonne France - 3 Nights
What a stunning region! I had never heard of Tarn et Garonne prior to organizing this visit. The region is located just north of Toulouse. The main town of the region is the beautiful Rose Village on Montauban – called this because of the lovely pink colour of the clay of the area which was used to make bricks.This region is all about agriculture - fantastic produce and wine. This is definitely an area to embrace slow tourism and to savour. This visit includes the lovely town of Caussade, home of hats in France, then takes the viewer to beautiful Montauban. Go on a tour of Montauban including a restaurant stop. Visit Chateau St-Louis for a glass of wine. Stay at Chateau Peyrot and have amazing homemade food.
Then on to a day of art! La Cuisine is an architectural marvel of the old and the new and home to modern art exhibitions that focus on themes around agriculture. Lunch in the beautiful town of Varen. A visit to the haunting and beautiful Beaulieu Abbey - another site for modern art exhibitions.

Cahors - the Valentré Bridge, the symbol of the town. Building began in 1308 and was completed in 1378. Saint-Cirq-Lapopie the medieval village, perched above the Lot River, is MOST BEAUTIFUL VILLAGE IN FRANCE . Pech Merle cave - authentic prehistoric paintings which are over 29,000 years old ! Exceptional works of art are conserved on the walls.

A castle is being reborn! | Castle of Penne
Hello everybody! Time for another castle ruin (duh)! Today we’ll take you to the castle of Penne (not the pasta, but the French town). Its location is truly stunning as it is built on an overhanging cliff over the river Aveyron. Besides its location there’s also some stunning medieval castle architecture going on with the gatehouse being a direct inspiration for the city of Carcassonne! In the 21st century a local architect got enamoured by this magnificent ruin from the Middle Ages and it is his Passion project to Restore it back to its historic glory. And as you may notice he uses both historically acurate machinery and very modern Materials. A medieval Castle restoration like we like to see them. Dramatic 2,000 Year Old Cahors, France
Cahors has an ultra-dramatic location, contained on three sides within a U-shaped bend in the River Lot. It is the chief city of the Lot and was founded 2,000 years ago by the Romans.
Today Cahors is perhaps best known as a famous wine center. Wander around the narrow streets in the old section with medieval houses, Baroque doorways, and Secret Gardens then sit down in a cafe or along the Lot River to watch the world go by.
