HELLO GUYS WELL COME TO MY CHANNEL MTV TRAVEL. IN THIS VIDEO VENICE CITY MOST BEAUTIFUL LOCATION FOR TOURISTS IN THE WORLD is about Venice City of northeastern Italy. Venice, Italy, is one of the top tourist destinations in the world, seeing between 26 million and 30 million visitors per year. Venice (/ˈvɛnɪs/ VEH-niss; Italian: Venezia [veˈnɛttsja] Venesia or Venexia [veˈnɛsja]) is a city in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region. It is situated on a group of 118 small islands[3] that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridges. The islands are located in the shallow Venetian Lagoon, an enclosed bay that lies between the mouths of the Po and the Piave rivers (more exactly between the Brenta and the Sile). In 2018, 260,897 people resided in the Comune di Venezia, of whom around 55,000 live in the historical city of Venice (centro storico). Together with Padua and Treviso, the city is included in the Padua-Treviso-Venice Metropolitan Area (PATREVE), which is considered a statistical metropolitan area, with a total population of 2.6 million. The name is derived from the ancient Veneti people who inhabited the region by the 10th century BC.The city was historically the capital of the Republic of Venice from 697 to 1797. It was a major financial and maritime power as well as an important center of commerce—especially silk, grain, and spice, and of art from the 13th century to the 17th century. The city-state of Venice is considered to have been the first real international financial center, emerging in the 9th century and reaching its greatest prominence in the 14th century. This made Venice a wealthy city throughout most of its history. Venice has been known as La Dominante, Queen of the Adriatic, City of Water, City of Masks, City of Bridges, The Floating City, and City of Canals. Parts of Venice are renowned for the beauty of their settings, their architecture, and artwork. L' Eremo di Santa Caterina del Sasso sul Lago Maggiore. #shorts
The Venetian Lagoon is the enclosed bay of the Adriatic Sea in which the city of Venice is situated. Its name in the Venetian language, Laguna Veneta— cognate of Latin lacus, lake— has provided the international name for an enclosed, shallow embayment of saltwater, a lagoon.
The Venetian Lagoon stretches from the River Sile in the north to the Brenta in the south, with a surface area of around 550 km² (212 sq. miles). It is around 8% land, including Venice itself and many smaller islands. About 11% is permanently covered by open water, or canal, as the network of dredged channels are called, while around 80% consists of mud flats, tidal shallows and salt marshes. The lagoon is the largest wetland in the Mediterranean Basin.[1]
It is connected to the Adriatic Sea by three inlets: the Lido, Malamocco and Chioggia inlets. Sited at the end of a largely enclosed sea, the lagoon is subject to high variations in water level, the most extreme being the spring tides known as the acqua alta (Italian for high waters), which regularly flood much of Venice.
The Lagoon of Venice is the most important survivor of a system of estuarine lagoons that in Roman times extended from Ravenna north to Trieste. In the sixth century, the Lagoon gave security to Romanised people fleeing invaders (mostly the Huns). Later, it provided naturally protected conditions for the growth of the Venetian Republic and its maritime empire. It still provides a base for a seaport, the Venetian Arsenal, and for fishing, as well as a limited amount of hunting and the newer industry of fish farming. SOURCE : WIKIPEDIA

The Panoramic Walkway of Pré-Saint-Didier -(Italy)
Hello, my friends! If you want to like, comment, share or subscribe I'll be very happy! As always, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the friendship and affection you always show me through your visits and comments. With this video I take you with me to the Valle d'Aosta Region, in the extreme north-western part of Italy. And precisely in the locality called Pré-Saint-Didier, a pleasant town very close to the renowned La Thuile, a very famous ski resort. Here is an engineering work born in 2013 that is very special and truly spectacular. It is a circular-shaped panoramic walkway suspended at 160 m high (524 ft), which projects itself into the void for a good 12 m (39 ft) in length, giving a priceless view of the Mont Blanc chain, the Pré basin. -St. Didier and the neighboring villages and a truly breathtaking view of the Canyon where the Dora di Verney stream flows impetuously and the cave of the thermal spring. Yes, because this town is well known for the benefits of its thermal waters with beneficial, soothing and relaxing properties, since 1700, even if the first news about it dates back to Roman times. Just before starting the path that leads to the walkway, the 1750 building that housed the oldest thermal baths is still visible. From the nearby stone bridge, from the same period, you can see a gush of water gushing non-stop from its highest point. That water is constantly at a temperature of 22 ° in any season. I must say that this scenario is particularly evocative, almost fairytale-like and right from here, looking up to the sky, you can admire the walkway overlooking the gorge from below, with a decidedly impressive visual effect. In 1834 what is the historic thermal establishment still present was built, which became very famous also thanks to the presence of the Savoy royal family who used to spend their summer holidays here. The panoramic walkway, which is located at a height of 1,209 m (3966 ft), can be reached after following a beautiful path surrounded by nature for about 40 minutes, not particularly demanding which at times, when the dense vegetation allows it, makes us appreciate a truly priceless panorama, with magnificent views of Mont Blanc. If you want, you can also get directly upstream by car, but why get lost in such a spectacular trail in the middle of nature, right? At the end of the climb, the steel walkway stands out, blending in very well with the surrounding scenery and nature, without spoiling the view. These are the numbers: a reinforced concrete foundation anchored to the slope with 45 steel micropiles, 5 pillars and 5 tubular steel beams, 10 ropes with tie rods from 30 to 60 tons .... The floor was made of a grid, in order to allow the view below and I must say that this solution is particularly impressive, because it gives even more the feeling of emptiness. Truly a unique emotion, walking on this catwalk, I can assure you! I have seen hesitant people who, however, in the end, driven by curiosity and the desire to admire an incomparable scenario from that truly unique perspective, in the end they abandoned their resistance and felt this thrill. It is really impossible to resist such beauty. An integral part of the so-called Adventure Park is the zip-line that crosses the canyon, the longest (130 m) and highest (188 m) in Europe, very visible from the walkway. Certainly an adrenaline-charged experience, for the bravest! A historical curiosity about Prè-Saint-Didier. It has very ancient origins, having developed around a Roman military station, located along the Via delle Gallie and its name derives from the Latin Prata ad Sanctum Desiderium, that is the Prati del Santo Desiderio. This religious, of French origin, arrived in this area escaping persecution in Lyon and took refuge on a plateau where he used to pray. Hence the name of this beautiful place full of things to see and do. Perfect for a small escape away from the chaos of the city.
As always, hope you'll enjoy my video, dear friends! All the very best to you! Renata
