Popular Locations in Belfast - Northern Ireland
Belfast attractions are numerous and every single destination carries a story that would make the tourists more interested to know more about before moving on to the next. In this video, we are going to share a quick list for the places which visitors have to check while they are in Belfast.
Passing through the different important and historical sightseeing attractions in Belfast, we didn't forget to come across the general famous buildings or even hotels that might be well known among the Irish people. Europa Hotel in Belfast was one stop in our tour and this is a four-star hotel located in Great Victoria Street, which hosted presidents, prime ministers and celebrities throughout its journey. One of the reasons why this hotel is that famous around the world is the number of times it has been bombed, that it has even been referred to as the most bombed hotel in Europe or even the most bombed hotel in the world and that's for being bombed 36 times during The Troubles.
Walking through the streets of Belfast, touring this beautiful city and getting to know more about its history, we also passed by the Grand Opera House which its auditorium is the best surviving example in the United Kingdom of the oriental style applied to theatre architecture. There are different shows which you will be able to choose from while you are there, and you could also check them on the internet beforehand.
One of the significant buildings in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is the City Hall building, which will attract tourists to it from the outside look before even they get the chance to have a tour inside. Belfast City Hall is located in Donegall Square, it faces the north and it divides the commercial and business areas of the city centre. Tourists are allowed to get inside this building and have a tour inside in the allowed rooms to check the Porte-Cochere and Grand Entrance, the Grand Staircase, the Reception Room and the Great Hall (which was destroyed during the Belfast Blitz and was then rebuilt again) (
Walking down the streets of Belfast city - in the centre of the city to be specific - is always needed for one to explore the city on a closer look and pass by some of the old buildings and the still-existing shops (
A little bit of shopping is also sometimes needed and that is when it comes to Victoria Square in Belfast which is one of the most famous shopping places in the city - you could also get inside and have something to eat since this place also has a food court (
One of the things we love about Belfast and its attractions is that most of them are located close to one another, which will give those willing to walk the chance to explore the city while they are jumping from one touristic attraction to the other.
Going further with the other important places to visit in Belfast, St. Anne's Cathedral will come next. St. Anne's Cathedral is also known as Belfast Cathedral and it is also located in Donegall Street ( The unusual thing about St. Anne's Cathedral is serving two separate dioceses, Connor and Down and Dromore, since a cathedral is a place where a bishop has a seat. St. Anne's Cathedral is the focal point of the Cathedral Quarter in Belfast and the main reason behind giving this part of the city that name, which is another old part of the city that we recommend for tourists to visit (
Among the famous sculptures in Belfast city, there is The Big Fish sculpture that is also known as The Salmon of Knowledge and which is a printed ceramic mosaic that is done by John Kindness. The Big Fish is 10 meters long and it is placed in Donegall Quay in Belfast, and it was constructed and installed back in 1999, which means that it is not an old touristic attraction but one which you will enjoy seeing in real for the texts and images related to the history of Belfast which are found on those ceramic pieces (
Castles, palaces and museums are always the main interest of tourists and when we are in Belfast then mentioning Belfast Castle is a must and visiting it should be done. Belfast Castle is set on slopes of Cavehill Country Park, in a prominent position 400 ft above sea level, which provides the visitors views over the city of Belfast and Belfast Lough, so it ends up being a destination for the castle itself as well as the views one will receive from up there (
And finally, we should guide you to Titanic Museum in Belfast and let you know more about the story of this important and old ship that sunk back in history (

Places to see in ( Carrickfergus - UK )
Places to see in ( Carrickfergus - UK )
Carrickfergus, colloquially known as Carrick, is a large town in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Carrickfergus sits on the north shore of Belfast Lough, 11 miles from Belfast.
Carrickfergus is County Antrim's oldest town and one of the oldest towns in Ireland as a whole. Carrickfergus was the administrative centre for Carrickfergus Borough Council, before this was amalgamated into the Mid and East Antrim District Council in 2015, and forms part of the Belfast Metropolitan Area. Carrickfergus is also a townland of 65 acres, a civil parish and a barony.
The town is the subject of the classic Irish folk song Carrickfergus, a 19th-century translation of an Irish-language song (Do Bhí Bean Uasal) from Munster, which begins with the words, I wish I was in Carrickfergus. The British peerage title of Baron Carrickfergus, which had become extinct in 1883, was bestowed upon Prince William on his wedding day in 2011.
Carrickfergus railway station opened on 1 October 1862. In addition, the northwest of the town is served by Clipperstown railway station, and the east by Downshire railway station. All three stations have regular commuter services to Belfast and Larne. Three historic stations in Carrickfergus, Barn, Eden and Mount, closed in the 1970s.
( Carrickfergus - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Carrickfergus . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Carrickfergus - UK

Just as they had done in England, the Normans have left their mark in Northern Ireland with a number of castles, and this video looks at two 12th Century castles that consolidated their power on the province of Ulster.

Northern Ireland in 3 Minutes | Northern Ireland Video Guide | ArboursAbroad
We take you through the small yet beautiful and action-packed country of Northern Ireland in 3 minutes! In this Northern Ireland video guide you will see stunning scenery, iconic locations, off the beaten path gems, and lovely natural coastal formations. We spent some time in this country and have highlighted some of the best things to see in Northern Ireland. Some may ask why we didn't go to the Giant's Causway, well we nixed that place because of its over popularity, crazy busy lines, and outrageous prices. We have seen plenty of other hexagonal rock formations elsewhere in the world with far fewer people and for free! So it didn't make our list!
We hope you enjoy the video and can use it to help guide your next trip to the wonderful United Kingdom country of Northern Ireland!
Remember to like this video, comment if you have something to say, and subscribe! It's the best way to show your support! Thanks, everyone!

A sizable town on the County Antrim coast, Carrickfergus—also known as Carrick locally—is not far from Belfast City. As one of the oldest towns in Ireland, Carrickfergus is most known for Carrickfergus Castle, one of the best maintained in the nation.
1. The town of Carrickfergus is situated on Belfast Lough's northern shore. Many of the top attractions in Belfast are a 25-minute drive away, and Larne is 20 minutes away.
2. The town is regarded as being among the oldest in all of Northern Ireland and the oldest in County Antrim. There is a lot of history to discover during a visit between the fantastic museums and ancient Carrickfergus Castle.
3. One of the most well-known Irish melodies, Carrickfergus, features the town of Carrickfergus as its theme. Dominic Behan released the song under the name The Kerry Boatman for the first time in 1965. The song's ancestors, however, are believed to have existed in the 19th century. The song's opening line is I wish I was at Carrickfergus.
4. Carrickfergus is a wonderful place to base yourself if you want to see more of Northern Ireland because it's close to Belfast City. From Carrick, you may simply start a car excursion down the Causeway Coastal Route to see where Game of Thrones has been filmed.
From Belfast, many people like to visit Carrickfergus. It's well known for its long history and illustrious Carrickfergus Castle, but it's also an attractive starting point for a trip along the Causeway Coastal Route. The town's name is supposed to have been inspired by Dal Riata's King Fergus Mor, also known as Fergus the Great. His ship capsized on a nearby rock, which later came to be known as Carraig Fhearghais, or Fergus' rock.
The town predates Belfast by a great distance and is considered the oldest community in County Antrim. After John de Courcy, an Anglo-Norman knight conquered Ulster in 1170 and constructed Carrickfergus Castle, the area started to grow into a town. Over the years, the castle has withstood numerous sieges, notably those that occurred during the Seven Years War in the 18th century and the Battle of Carrickfergus in 1597's Nine Years War.
The RMS Titanic travelled via Belfast Lough in 1912 and anchored for the night near Carrickfergus. Thousands of spectators gathered to see the ship depart on its first trip.
