Ronda (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈronda]) is a town in the Spanish province of Málaga. It is located about 105 km (65 mi) west of the city of Málaga, within the autonomous community of Andalusia. Its population is about 35,000. Ronda is known for its cliff-side location and a deep chasm that carries the Guadalevín River and divides the town.
It is now one of the towns and villages that is included in the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park.

This town in the province of Malaga is split in two by the Tajo del Ronda, a gorge more than 150 meters deep. Its old town has been declared a Property of Cultural Interest. This territory was occupied by the Celts, Phoenicians, Romans and Arabs and was finally reconquered by Catholic Monarchs.
The old town, with Arab reminiscences and medieval layout, extends to the south of the Guadalevín while the modern town, which emerged from the 16th century, unfolds to the north of this river. Several bridges connect the two halves of Ronda, one of the most interesting towns located on the route of the Pueblos Blancos (the white villages), in the heart of the Sierra de Ronda, a few kilometers from the Costa del Sol.
At the level of the civil architecture of Ronda, we will notice the stately homes and the mansions of the aristocracy. The palaces of Mondragón and the Marquis of Salvatierra and the Casa del Moro are some fine examples. The first of these palaces hosted Muslim and Christian kings for centuries; it now houses the city's archaeological museum. We will admire in the former palace of the Marquis of Salvatierra its wrought iron balcony in the purest style of Ronda. The Casa del Rey Moro is decorated in a Gothic and Mudejar style; it is surrounded by hanging gardens, classified as artistic gardens. The highwayman's museum (bandolero), the hunting museum and the Lara museum complete a visit to this part of the city.
The Arab bridge, the Old bridge and the New bridge Three bridges cross a precipice more than 100 meters deep and lead to the other end of the city. The Arab bridge, built in the 14th century, provided access to the Arrabal Viejo (the old suburb). As for the Old Bridge, it consists of a single arch some 10 meters in diameter. The Pont Neuf is the most spectacular of all: a colossal work of engineering linking the Mercadillo districts to the city. Dating from the 18th century, its foundations rest on the base of the precipice. In various places, its height reaches 98 meters, and its length is 70 meters.
Ronda puts on its most beautiful finery on the occasion of the city's festivities, so many opportune moments to come and visit it. The Pedro Romero fiestas, with their Goya-style bullfights and flamenco music festival, are highly regarded, as are Holy Week, the Reconquista fiestas and the romería de Nuestra Señora de la Cabeza. The white villages scattered in the Sierra de Ronda, of Arab origin, are characterized by the harmonious integration of traditional architecture within a natural environment of rare beauty. In addition, other localities in the region are renowned for their Phoenician (Jimena de Líbar) or Roman (Acinipo) ruins. Algatocín and Atajate, amidst olive groves and vineyards, are clearly Moorish in essence. The Ronda region is part of the so-called humid Andalusia, where the landscapes are made up of a great botanical variety, as can be seen in the natural parks of Sierra de las Nieves, Sierra Bermeja and Sierra Crestellina . The coastline is a stone's throw away, with its leisure centers of Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Marbella and Estepona.

The Guadalhorce-Guadalteba reservoirs are a set of six reservoirs in the middle course of the Guadalhorce River and two of its largest tributaries: the Turón River and the Guadalteba River. They are located in a natural environment in the center of the province of Malaga, autonomous community of Andalusia (Spain).
One of the most emblematic things to visit in the reservoirs is the so-called King's Armchair; which is a set of two benches, an armchair and a table all made of stone, where King Alfonso XIII signed the completion of the works of the Conde de Guadalhorce reservoir. From the King's Armchair, on the other side of the reservoir, you can see the Engineer's House or Count's House, to which the passage is closed.
Also in the Conde de Guadalhorce reservoir you can see the façade of the Church, which was also used as a school. Another of the places of interest of the reservoirs is the Mirador, from which you can observe, from a bird's eye view, the entire set of reservoirs.
The reservoirs have several paths of trails, where you can enjoy nature in the first person. In addition, it also has camping areas, where a museum of the area is located.
Another one of the most emblematic things to visit is the walkway Caminito del Rey was built to provide workers at the hydroelectric power plants at Chorro Falls and Gaitanejo Falls with a means to cross between them, to provide for transport of materials, and to help facilitate inspection and maintenance of the channel. The construction began in 1901 and was finished in 1905. King Alfonso XIII crossed the walkway in 1921 for the inauguration of the dam Conde del Guadalhorce, and it became known by its present name.[3] The walkway is 1 metre in width and rises over 100 metres above the river below.

Benahavis, a Spanish mountain village situated between Marbella, Estepona and Ronda. The village is 7km from the Mediterranean coast. Renowned for its restaurants the village is often called the dining room of the Costa del Sol with mountain and sea views. Located on the Southern face of the Serrania de Ronda mountain range, Benahavis is the most mountainous village on the western Costa del Sol. Its terrain is traversed by the Rivers Guadalmina, Guadaiza and Guadalmanza. Regions of great natural and historic interest are to be found within its boundaries, such as El Cerro del Duque, Daidin and the Montemayor Castle.

Video taken when we went to Guadalteba region, more specifically to El Chorro (province of Malaga). It's an amazing place where 3 swamps meet, offering an unforgettable view to the tourist. It's the perfect place to go fishing, swimming or hiking :)
The bar you can see at the beginning of the video was decorated with flags (especially the Spanish one) because the day we went there was just a couple of days after the final football match Spain-Italy, where Spain won the Euro Cup 2012, as we all know :)
