San Julián (Bolivia)
San Julián es una ciudad y municipio de Bolivia, ubicado en la provincia Ñuflo de Chaves del departamento de Santa Cruz. Este municipio está poblado mayormente por emigrantes de diferentes zonas del interior del país, quechuas y en menor proporción por habitantes originarios de tierras bajas, guaraní y chiquitanos. Es una zona con un gran potencial agropecuario por la calidad de sus suelos, que proporcionan soja, girasol, maíz, arroz, frijol y sésamo.1
La localidad se encuentra al noroeste a 170 km de la ciudad de Santa Cruz de la Sierra y por el municipio pasa la carretera asfaltada Santa Cruz - Trinidad. La principal festividad es la de San Juan, el 24 de junio.
Fue creado como cuarta sección de la Provincia Ñuflo de Chaves mediante Ley 1091 del 21 de febrero de 1989.
Demografía
La población tiene una gran diversidad de orígenes, aunque existe predominancia quechua procedente de los departamentos de Potosí y Chuquisaca, se puede destacar también la presencia de comunidades Guaraníes y Chiquitanos. Los idiomas principales son el castellano y el quechua y en menor número el Guaraní y el Chiquitano.
La capital del municipio, San Julián, cuenta con 28.000 habitantes según el Censo INE 2012.
Algunos centros poblados y comunidades del municipio incluyen:
La Asunta: 1.400 habitantes,
Villa Paraíso: 1.200 habitantes,
Villa Victoria: 900 habitantes,
Illimani N29: 800 habitantes,
Berlín Los Troncos: 800 habitantes,
El Carmen: 500 habitantes.
Más de 200 comunidades conforman este municipio.
La población total del municipio es de 47.416 habitantes (Censo INE 2012).

Beni is the second largest state in Bolivia and it's capital city is Trinidad. It covers the entire northeastern portion of Bolivia. Beni is criss-crossed by numerous rivers, all of which are Amazon tributaries. Other important cities in Beni are Guayaramerín, Riberalta, and for tourism, Rurrenabaque.Because of this geography, Beni was a very important center of pre-Colombian civilization known as the hydro-culture of Las Lomas (the hills), a culture that constructed over 20,000 man-made artificial hills, all interconnected by thousands of square kilometers of aqueducts, channels, embankments, artificial lakes and lagoons, and terraces.
Beni, Bolivia is where many products that are now used worldwide have their origin, among them tobacco, peanuts, cotton, yucca (manioc), vanilla and sweet potatoes. The Spanish initially were intensely interested in this area. During the first century of colonization, they believed the mythical city of El Dorado (also known as Paititi) could be found in this region.
Beni's capital city, Trinidad, located in the Bolivian tropics, is hot and humid most of the year. This region of the country is heavily forested. Between the 19th and 20th Centuries northern Beni became Bolivia's rubber capital. The abundance of rubber trees attracted many people to the region, many of them adventurers and others workers (many of whom were indigenous) to work in the huge rubber plantations that arose. For decades it was one of the most active, dynamic regions of Bolivia.

The most spectacular road I have ever been on. The road between Camiri and Sucre. 450 km up and down mountains as high as 4000metres and through valleys. lots of small villages dotted on route. I didnt even realise it was the Che route at this stage until later when I saw signs a the side of the road saying so. If you plan to bike it, its a tough road and takes a long time.

Brazil - Bolivia - Argentina Road Trip Driving Route December 2016 - Brinno time-lapse
In December 2016 we drove 1,877 miles (3,021 km) in Brazil, Bolivia & Argentina. We started the month in Bonito, Brazil, crossed two international borders and ended in Salta, Argentina.Our road trip driving route drive-lapse began in Bonito, Brazil in west of Brazil's Mato Grosso Sul state, near the borders of Paraguay and Bolivia. From there we headed up to the nearby Southern Pantanal where we saw more Leopards and many other creatures. From there we drove to the border town of Corumbá and crossed in Bolivia for the first, but not last time.
We only spent a very brief 8 days in Boliva, passing through the Jesuit Missions of Chiquitos in the east which are a number of architecturally unique churches built in the early 1700's, of which are UNESCO World Heritage site. From there we stopped in Santa Cruz, one of Bolivia's two principal cities. However, it was then time to make a bee-line down to the Argentinian border because we a house-sitting opportunity in Salta, where we currently are.
