Exploring the Impacts of the Busia Solar Park in Uganda
Exploring Uganda
The Busia solar park in Uganda is a great example of how international cooperation and renewable energy efforts can make a positive impact.
These solar panels were manufactured in Egypt and generously gifted to Uganda by the Egyptian government. The solar park spans 8.6 hectares in Eastern Uganda, and is home to over 14,000 solar panels.
This project was completed in 2016, and it's capable of generating 4 MW of electricity, providing power to roughly 20,000 households.

Travelling by BUS from Nairobi, Kenya to Jinja, Uganda (Modern Coast luxury coach experience) 🇰🇪
I departed Nairobi just before dusk on a Sunday evening, making my way to the nearby city of Nakuru, three hours west of the capital. I spent the night at the Chester Hotel, before continuing west the next morning on Modern Coast bus lines (considered by many to be the best in Kenya) to the city of Kisumu, on the shores of Lake Victoria (Africa's largest!). From there, it was a short hop to the Ugandan border at Busia, where I had a smooth crossing into one of East Africa's most vibrant countries. I continued on west to the town of Jinja, the source of the Nile River and one of Uganda's premier travel destinations. I was welcomed to the city by friendly locals, and the amazing staff at the excellent Igar Plaza Hotel - one of Jinja's finest.

Hello friends, welcome to today's trip from Nakuru-Kenya to Busia-Uganda.
we set off from Nakuru city at 8:00 a.m.
We used the route through Londian, Fort Ternan, Muhoroni, Awasi, Kisumu, Yala, Ugunja and finally Busia.
Due several stopovers along the scenic route we arrived at Busia at 7:30 p.m.
We were in a group of 13 bikes on day one consisting of 8 pillions.
