Famous Citizen Food in Malaysia
Famous Citizen Food in Malaysia
Malaysia is understood for its different food culture obtaining impacts from numerous ethnic teams for some downright scrumptious meals. Flavours of sweet, savoury and spicy are among the most preferred taste of the Malaysian palate. Below are a few of the favorites in this gorgeous country.
1. Nasi Lemak
One of the very best location for nasi lemak I've had over the years would be Town Park Nasi Lemak up until now, they are still the very best in KL/PJ. Exceptional taste and flavors. The texture of the rice and sambal is good enough to make you crave for more paired with deep fried chicken is a rewarding meal. A have to try without a doubt..
2. Cendol.
Our first pit stop: Bukit Rambai. Google 'Bukit Rambai' and Aunty Koh Cendol comes top in the search engine result. The only downside to this tasty cendol is the time and effort required to look for it, which is especially real for non-locals. Although the drive to Aunty Koh's Cendol is rather a distance from town, however the cendols that she made are completely worth the trip! Trust me, that's for sure among the very best cendol I ever before had before seriously!.
3. Rojak.
You can call it a fruit rojak or fruits salad but whatever it is, Penang Rojak is certainly one of the major favorite amongst citizens in addition to vacationer alike. Sold in practically every part of the island from hawker stalls up to a more fancied bistros, Penang Rojak is one of the main dish to whet your hungers whenever you are in Penang..
4. Chicken Rice.
The muscly farm chicken had this guaranteed crunch; a firmer bite compared to the typically softer structure of the usual fowls. And the taste was different too, in a great way. The cosmetically more enjoyable appearance of the yellow skin was not of solely cosmetic advantage either. Bouncy and without the frightening bits of fats beneath, I handled to finish every part of the chicken without leaving a path of unwanted..
5. Roti Canai.
Roti canai is an extremely well-known typical Malaysian morning meal that many of them will never ever miss. Roti canai is done by a mixture of wheat flour and finally served in a light crunchy pancake. The dough is being stretched and tossed and afterwards cooks it to perfection on a frying pan. Roti canai has a wonderful combination with lentil or chicken curry..

PULAU BESAR MELAKA THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, MALAYSIA. MUST WATCH!!!
Pulau Besar is an interesting day trip destination.
It is located about 15km south east of Melaka city and can be reached by ferry or speed boat.
As the name suggests, it is a large island (168 hectares) and is said to be shaped like an expecting woman lying on her back, though I could not see much resemblance myself. Perhaps they sliced some of her 'bulge' off when they were building the golf course back in the 1990s.
It is best known for its ancient Islamic graves, tombs and mausoleums which are scattered around the island.
Notable among these is the tomb of Sultan Al Ariffin Syeikh Ismail. According to the notice board outside the tomb, Syeikh Ismail was the 18th descendant of the Prophet and was born in Baghdad in 1464AD. While visiting the Prophet's tomb in Medina, he received a calling to go and spread Islam to Java. He reached Pulau Besar in 1495 and from there helped disseminate Islamic teaching throughout the Malay Archipelago. He died at age 58 and was buried on the island.
There are a few food stalls and shops on the island for refreshments.
Take the coast road (Highway 5) from Melaka city towards Muar. At Umbai, follow the signs for Umbai Jetty. Here you can park your car (RM5) and hire a speed boat to take you to the island. The boat is capable of holding a dozen or so people so is good value for a large group. After dropping us at the island, the boat driver gave us his mobile number and we just called him to pick us up when we wanted to go back.
Share boat and foods total RM63 per person x 10 person (Group)

Visiting Malacca Malaysia |【馬來西亞】馬六甲
Melaka, formerly Malacca, town and port, Peninsular (West) Malaysia, on the Strait of Malacca, at the mouth of the sluggish Melaka River. The city was founded about 1400, when Paramesvara, the ruler of Tumasik (now Singapore), fled from the forces of the Javanese kingdom of Majapahit and found refuge at the site, then a small fishing village. There he founded a Malay kingdom, the kings of which—aided by the Chinese—extended their power over the peninsula. The port became a major stopping place for traders to replenish their food supplies and obtain fresh water from the hill springs. Malay rule ended in 1511, when Alfonso d’Albuquerque, viceroy of the Portuguese Indies, conquered Malacca. During the 16th century Malacca developed into the most important trading port in Southeast Asia. Indian, Arab, and European merchants regularly visited there, and the Portuguese realized enormous profits from the especially lucrative spice trade that passed through the port.

Amazing MALAYSIA STREET FOOD in Melaka- KUIH KERIA, COCONUT SHAKE, NASI LEMAK and more!
Subscribe for more food and travel videos:
When in Melaka there are a number of things you have to tick off your MELAKA EATS list. Today we embark on a food hunting adventure and visit a few spots not far from Melaka town to find some Melaka famous food. Get ready for a huge Malaysia street food tour!
Restoran Ming Huat
This kopitiam houses a number of stalls and is a local favourite. One of our subscribers recommends it to us and suggests it’s a living embodiment of the concept of muhibbah, where people of different cultures, races and religions live and work side by side harmoniously, respectful of each other’s backgrounds. There is a Malay nasi lemak stall, an Indian Muslim stall and a Chinese stall in this kopitiam and it’s customers are from all different backgrounds. It really is the perfect example of muhibbah. We eat nasi lemak with a side of chicken rendang and sample mee kahwin a mash up of mamak rohak and mee rebus.
Aunty Koh Cendol
Aunty Koh’s cendol is some of the most famous in Melaka. Her stall is only open on Saturday and Sundays from 11:30am onwards. We arrive at 11:30am and by 12:00pm Aunty Koh has sold out!! What makes her cendol so special? The coconut milk. Aunty Koh grates and presses around 30 coconuts from around 1:00am the night before she opens. Fresh is an understatement!
Klebang Original Coconut Shake
Another must eat/drink in Melaka is the Klebang coconut shake. This iced concoction is made up of ice, coconut milk, coconut water and coconut flesh and is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Delicious!
Kuih Keria Antarabangsa
Our final stop is Kuih Keria Antarabangsa. These sweet potato doughnuts are a crowd favourite and when they open at 1:00pm we guarantee there’ll already be a line of about 20 deep! Cooked sweet potato is mashed up with flour, deep fried and then covered in a gula melaka syrup. Mouth watering!
Check our Melaka food playlist for more videos:
