With over 100 kilometres of stunning coastline, the Sunshine Coast beaches are a true highlight. From the spectacular surf beaches of Noosa and Coolum to the long stretch of Maroochydore Beach, there are so many beautiful beaches to explore.
Chase Waterfalls
The Sunshine Coast has several lovely waterfalls. Buderim Falls, also called Serenity Falls, is a 600-metre return circuit through the beautiful rainforest. Gardners Falls, near Maleny, has a popular swimming hole, and the stunning Kondalilla Falls is an 80-metre waterfall.
Climb a Mountain
The most accessible mountain on the Sunshine Coast is Mount Coolum. This 1.6-kilometre return hike rewards you with stunning panoramic views over Coolum and the Sunshine Coast. If you feel more adventurous, you can hike up one of the more challenging Glass House Mountains.
Discover Street Art
Wander along the Caloundra Street Art Trail and discover a world of colour and creativity. The vibrant murals adorning the streets tell stories of the community and add a unique charm to this coastal town. The historic town of Eumundi also has a Street Art Trail with stunning sculptures, exciting installations and brightly coloured murals.
Explore Rockpools
The Rockpools at Kings Beach, Caloundra, have a fascinating array of small, colourful fish that you can watch from the edge of the large rockpool. The best time to see them is at low tide. Shelly Beach also has some stunning rock formations and lots of rockpools to explore.
Take a Selfie with a Pineapple
The Big Pineapple at Woombye on the Sunshine Coast is a 16-metre-high fibreglass pineapple. It was Queensland's most popular tourist attraction in its heyday, with over a million visits a year. Now, it is a quirky spot to take a selfie and remember your Sunshine Coast adventure. If you like big things, there is also a Big Pelican near the river at Noosaville.

The hinterland is a fantastic place to get back to nature and explore rainforests. The Wompoo Circuit is an easy 1.1-kilometre walk with towering ancient trees and fern-filled gullies. Or the 4-kilometre hike to Baxter Falls takes you through dense rainforest and over a suspension bridge.
Discover Coastal Walks
Stroll along one of the many coastal trails and boardwalks for breathtaking views of the ocean and coastline. The lovely coastal trail in the Noosa National Park has stunning views and amazing beaches. The Mount Coolum boardwalk is an easy, relaxing 700-metre walk through paperbark trees and native flora to a beautiful beach.
Explore Botanic Gardens
The Noosa Botanic Gardens, on the shores of Lake Macdonald, comprise eight hectares of native and exotic plant species and a stunning Greek-style amphitheatre. The Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens, near Buderim, has several walks with sculptures, manicured gardens, native bushland, creeks and lagoons.

The best way to finish the day is to enjoy an incredible sunset. If you are adventurous, you can climb Mt Ngungun and watch the sunset over the Glasshouse Mountains. Or you can sit back and relax and watch the sun setting over the water near Point Cartwright.
