🏔️Can you believe you can see all these incredible places in just 4 days?
🗺️ Dolomites itinerary 🇮🇹 Day 1: 🏔 Seceda: Take the cable car from Urtijëi to Seceda (37 euro return ticket) and then hike to Pieralongia and back to the cable car. 🏘 Urtijëi/Ortisei: Visit one of the most charming towns in the Val Gardena area. 🚘 Passo Gardena: A 24-minute drive from Ortisei, it offers a scenic route with amazing views.
🏔 Adolf Munkel trail: The hike starts in Zannes and, depending on the route chosen and fitness level, can take up to 4 hours and 30 minutes. Take your time and enjoy the views; it’s truly one of the best spots to see.
🇮🇹 Day 2: 🏔️ Alpe di Siusi: Take the cable car from Urtijëi/Ortisei to reach Europe’s largest high-altitude Alpine meadow.Enjoy walking around or take a scenic carriage ride. 🏔️Castelrotto: A charming village with stunning views.
🇮🇹 Day 3: 🏔 Lago di Braies: A beautiful blue mountain lake. As it’s a popular destination, it can get crowded. You can hike around the lake or rent a boat. Access by car requires purchasing an access permit online in advance, as the daily number of tourists is limited.
🇮🇹 Day 4: 🏔 Lago di Sorapis: This hike begins at Misurina Passo Tre Croci and offers stunning scenery. Some sections may be challenging for those with a fear of heights, and there are slippery rocks, so hiking shoes are recommended. Expect crowds, especially around noon.
🏔 Cinque Torri: A short hike with gorgeous views, can be reached by chairlift. Don’t miss the open-air World War 1 museum.
📍 We stayed in Colfosco, near Corvara and most of the locations were quite far. If you prefer not to drive as much, consider staying in two locations. We recommend Ortisei for its proximity to Seceda, Adolf Munkel trail, and Alpe di Siusi, and Cortina d’Ampezzo for the other locations.

For us, the biggest positive surprise is the Val di Fassa ski resort because it is not as well known as the other destinations on the list, and it offers excellent conditions for wonderful skiing and staying in the Dolomites. Kronplatz and Val Gardena are conceptually completely different ski resorts and each of them provides conditions for unforgettable skiing. We liked the ski slopes in Alta Badia and Cortina d'Ampezzo the most. And while Alta Badia is more suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers, Cortina d'Ampezzo is better for intermediate and advanced skiers. Bruneck/Brunico is the main city of Val Pusteria, rich of history, architecture, things to see and to explore. In this video I will focus mainly on the oldest part of the city, with its characteristic buildings, shops and much more. In the end I will show you the castle, one of the Messner Mountain Museums. I shot this video during October 2022, but this city is really always beautiful, and able to be gorgeous in each and every season.
