Villa Varda was the manor house of the Mazzoleni’s family, from Bergamo, during the XV century and it is located along the Livenza riverbanks. The Park of the Villa has the typical English park landscaping and it includes various architectural structures: the Orangery, the icehouse, with a crenelated tower where ice was stored before refrigerators, and a small mausoleum where the last owners of the Villa were buried.
The Park is rich in native tree varieties such as cedar, pine, yew, hornbeam, elm, and maple. The Livenza river creates an inlet, which was used in the past as a mooring for boats traveling to Venice: this makes the landscape of the residence romantic and picturesque.
