Welcome to Elizabeth Mills Riverfront Park, located near Ashburn, in Loudoun County in northern Virginia. This area is a suburb of Washington, D.C. Although the small park is located right outside an urbanized area, it feels like a world away once you reach the park. Once you reach the park is the key LOL! Not only do you drive through an upscale residential neighborhood to arrive to the parking area, you also have to hike through a golf course just to get to the park. Once at the park, a short hike along an easy to follow path takes you down to the banks of the Potomac River. The trail system here is part of the Potomac National Heritage Trail. Rocky beach area allows for beautiful views of the river. Adding to the charm of the park, is that the north bank of the river, located in Maryland, is undeveloped as well. That area is part of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, administered by the National Park Service. Trails here also connect with other local parks.

US-15 Northbound from Leesburg, VA to Maryland Line (Point of Rocks)
Traveling northbound on US Route 15 from the DC suburb of Leesburg, Virginia to the small town of Point of Rocks, Maryland along the Potomac River / Maryland border. This segment of US-15 is named James Monroe Highway for its entire length.
This portion of US-15 has become a major commuter route in the past couple of decades serving as an alternative to the heavily congested I-270. Although this video was filmed on a relaxing and quiet day, this portion of highway is among many two-lane (one lane each way) highways in Northern Virginia that is reaching traffic capacity limits, thus lowering its level of service, especially during rush hour. This portion of US-15 also passes through the small town of Lucketts, which has become a major bottleneck for the increasingly busy route. Loudoun County has thrown around plans to potentially widen this portion of highway. But if these plans ever come to fruition at all, construction likely wouldn't begin until the late '20s.

The Lynch House Haunting (FULL STORY)
Martha Lynch, owner of the Lynch House, one of Leesburg, Virginia’s most famous haunted houses, goes over her many experiences with the house and a ghost she believes is Eliza Thompson. Eliza Thompson, a previous owner of the house, was the widow of a man that died in the Civil War. Martha describes her first impressions of the house and how over time, the sounds the house made were far too paranormal to be ignored. It was only after she saw a woman at the top of her stairs that she started investigating who may be haunting her house. Over the years, there have been multiple eyewitnesses who saw the woman in her house, including multiple guests that stayed with them, and even her three-year-old son. It is obvious from the stories that no one was really frightened by the ghosts and when the Lynch family left, they were clearly going to miss Eliza Thompson.
