Things to do in Amarillo, Texas
American city Amarillo may be found in Texas. About 190.000 people call this city home, making it the 14th most populated in all of Texas. Amarillo may be located in the north-central area of the state, in the Panhandle.
Llano Estacado, a vast plateau that encompasses most of western Texas, is where you’ll find the city. The city of Amarillo serves as the county seat for Potter County.
In 1887, the city was established when the Texas and Pacific Railway Company completed a train route through the region. The town was that name in honor of Amarillo Creek, which the Spanish first called in the 18th century. In terms of agricultural and livestock output, Amarillo is second to none.
A significant oil and gas sector center, the city also has a thriving economy. Bell Helicopter, Tyson Foods, and Xcel Energy are just a few of the significant companies that call Amarillo home. Amarillo also has a two-year community college called Amarillo College.

Day 4 time lapse: Colorado Springs, CO to Borger, TX
This is day 4 of my cross country trip from Sacramento, CA to Yorktown, VA. View day 2 here and day 3 here
Day 4 took me from Colorado Springs, CO to Borger, TX by way of Interstate 25 to some highway in New Mexico to some highway in Texas. The trip took about 6 hours and covered about 350 miles.10,000 pictures were taken and are compressed into 5 1/2 minutes.
I didn't stay at a hotel in Colorado, so there will be an absence of the dash bagel. The dash bagel will return for episode 4 (day 5). I turned the camera off at a gas station and forgot to turn it back on when I left. I remembered when I was a couple miles down the road. Since it happened in Texas you won't be missing anything of importance, or anything of unimportance. Towards the end of the trip it got super windy. When I get stopped at the road work, you can see the guy fighting with the sign that's getting blown around. There's also a lot of dust in the air, which can be seen a lot better in the video than when I was driving through it. Texas is even boring on a time lapse, too bad I didn't take the Kansas route with all the thunderstorms.
The time lapse was done using a GoPro Hero3 Black Edtion, and the GoPro Cineform Studio. Pictures were taken every 2 seconds.

Visiting the Cadillac Ranch Sculpture in Potter County Texas, outside of Amarillo, Texas. The car sculpture is located off of highway 40, also known as a historic Route 66 attraction.
...As a tribute to America's best automobile, a collective of artists called Ant Farm decided to place 10 Cadillacs, ranging from a 1949 Club Coupe to a 1963 Sedan, in a wheat field located west of Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Stanley Marsh 3, a local helium tycoon, provided some place for the cars to rest. Ten big holes were dug and the cars were driven with their front end into them.....

#552 FREE City RV Park Borger TX and Free Camping Lake Meredith Fritch, TX
Lake Meredith offers a variety of camping opportunities, including scenic overlooks, shoreline camping, and wooded campgrounds. There are 10 RV sites at Sanford-Yake with electric and water hookups. These sites charge a fee and are available by reservation.
All other sites and campgrounds are FREE and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Dump stations with non-potable water are located near Fritch Fortress and Sanford-Yake campgrounds.
You may camp at any location within Lake Meredith National Recreation Area for up to 14 consecutive days within a 30-day period, but no more than 60 days per year.
This City of Borger Rv Park is an 8 space facility located at South Main St within Huber Park. Each space has water and electrical hookups. The spaces do not have sewer hook-ups, but the park does have a dump station.
This campsite is for recreational vehicles only. Vehicle shall provide sufficient room for all campers to sleep inside.
The use of tents is not permitted in the campground or the adjoining city park.
Stays in campground are free of charge and shall not exceed 72 hours in any seven day period.
There shall be no loud talking, music playing, disturbance or activity that would be detrimental to the life, health, safety, or enjoyment of persons during the stay.
The City of Borger shall not be responsible for damage, injury, or theft of personal property in the campground or adjoining city park.
