Secret Skystone & Victor Falls In Bonney Lake, Washington (2022)
The Skystone and Victor Falls are some cool hidden places in Bonney Lake, Washington that I don't think many people know about.
The Skystone was used by the Native Americans to mark astronomical and geographic features like Orion, Sirius, The Little Dipper and Polaris but I personally think it marks Mount Rainier and its rivers.
Victor Falls has an impressive 68ft drop and is a Vertical Curtain waterfall. Its surprising how big the waterfall is and its worth checking out!

Victor Falls City Park - Bonney Lake, WA
Here is another gem that I found while riding my motorcycle in the countryside. Victor Falls City Park is a VERY small park that has a waterfall as it's main attraction. To get to the falls you need to go off-trail at your own risk. The cliffs here are very high, but there seems to be a lot of foot traffic that leads closer to the falls. I felt experienced enough to get closer and capture the sounds and the views.
There are a few concrete benches to relax, have some snacks or hang out. There isn't much else to do because there are residential homes near by. If you blink, you will literally drive right by the place!

Mysterious Skystone In Bonney Lake, WA
The Skystone is a mysterious andesite glacial erratic boulder located In Bonney Lake, Washington that may have allowed Native Americans to predict the changing of seasons. The boulder was discovered during construction of a housing development around 1999 and is now listed and preserved as an archaeological site by the Washington State Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation. The giant stone also has over 20 pits that look to be man made and are believed to map constellations such as Polaris, Sirius, the Little Dipper, and Orion as well to point to geographical features like Mount Rainier and Mount Saint Helens. The boulder was deposited around 13,000 years ago and the boulders size is an impressive 4.5 by 12 feet.
I made several guesses of my own on what some of the markings and features were used for and I would like to know what you think!
I would definitely make the trip to Bonney Lake to visit the Skystone and I would recommend swinging by Victor Falls because it’s less than a mile away and is a really impressive waterfall.
