Best Attractions In Paris, France. Romantic Trip ( YourTrip OurTravel )
Paris is the capital and most populous city of France, with an estimated population of 2,148,271 residents as of 2020, in an area of 105 square kilometres (41 square miles). According to the Economist Intelligence Unit Worldwide Cost of Living Survey in 2018, Paris was the second most expensive city in the world, after Singapore, and ahead of Zürich, Hong Kong, Oslo and Geneva.
Paris has a typical Western European oceanic climate, which is affected by the North Atlantic Current. The overall climate throughout the year is mild and moderately wet. Summer days are usually warm and pleasant with average temperatures between 15 and 25 °C (59 and 77 °F), and a fair amount of sunshine. Each year, however, there are a few days when the temperature rises above 32 °C (90 °F).Spring and autumn have, on average, mild days and fresh nights but are changing and unstable. Surprisingly warm or cool weather occurs frequently in both seasons. In winter, sunshine is scarce; days are cool, and nights are cold but generally above freezing with low temperatures around 3 °C (37 °F).
Greater Paris, comprising Paris and its three surrounding departments, received 38 million visitors in 2019, a record, measured by hotel arrivals. The city's top cultural attraction in 2019 was the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur (11 million visitors), followed by the Louvre (9.6 million visitors); the Eiffel Tower (6.1 million visitors); the Centre Pompidou (3.5 million visitors); and the Musée d'Orsay (3.3 million visitors).
The centre of Paris contains the most visited monuments in the city, including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre as well as the Sainte-Chapelle; Les Invalides, where the tomb of Napoleon is located, and the Eiffel Tower are located on the Left Bank south-west of the centre. The Panthéon and the Catacombs of Paris are also located on the Left Bank of the Seine. The banks of the Seine from the Pont de Sully to the Pont d'Iéna have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991.
Other landmarks are laid out east to west along the historical axis of Paris, which runs from the Louvre through the Tuileries Garden, the Luxor Column in the Place de la Concorde, and the Arc de Triomphe, to the Grande Arche of La Défense.
Several other much-visited landmarks are located in the suburbs of the city; the Basilica of St Denis, in Seine-Saint-Denis, is the birthplace of the Gothic style of architecture and the royal necropolis of French kings and queens. The Paris region hosts three other UNESCO Heritage sites: the Palace of Versailles in the west, the Palace of Fontainebleau in the south and the medieval fairs site of Provins in the east. In the Paris region, Disneyland Paris, in Marne-la-Vallée, 32 kilometres (20 miles) east of the centre of Paris, received 9.66 million visitors in 2017.

A Formal French Garden
Sceaux is a beautiful and posh city just South of Paris, France. Its château is a mini-Versailles. You can get there on public transportation (bus) from Paris and I recommend that, because the bus rides are inexpensive here (especially when you buy a carnet or ten-pack of métro/bus/tramway tickets and get a huge discount -- something like 40% off) and buses are great for sightseeing. (If you see a store or something you just HAVE to visit, just push the stop button on the bus and the driver will let you off at the next stop). (You can get back on that same bus line later and carry on with your journey -- just remember that during school holidays, public transportation runs less often.)
The first Sunday of each month, many sites in France are free. These are called journées de patrimoine (heritage days). Please note that most museums run by La Ville de Paris are free anyway. There are quite a few of them, and they are all good!
Besides the château interiors which house Le Musée de l'Ile-de-France (the Greater Paris Museum), there is a huge stable here, an enormous orangerie (open at 4 pm), a casual outdoor restaurant, a huge canal basin where fishing (with a license) is allowed, you can picnic on the lawns and walk on them, there are bathrooms scattered about, dogs are allowed in on leashes, there are fountains, woods, waterfalls, outdoor art exhibits, sweeping views and the air is fresh and fragrant. We saw people walking, jogging, riding bikes, playing Frisbee, sailing toy boats, alone or with someone else. Many brought children and the kids seemed to love it. Very nice place. A lot of the best stuff in Paris is just outside the City limits. I forget the title, but there's a good tour/travel book a lady did in English about all the great stuff you can see around Paris which involves less than 60 minutes of travel on public transportation. You can't beat that with a stick! There's nothing wrong with the City itself, but you miss so much when you just stay in Paris itself!

Just bring good walking shoes if you come here. I did, and carried a pair of sandals just in case in a little bag. It's a good idea to carry tissues here, a small bottle of water, and a little something to snack on. Culture safaris always blow my mind and I feel quite dizzy afterward!
