Visit Albania's GJIROKASTER and driving north to the highest mountain - Travel vlog #5
On the 5th day in Albania, the rain couldn't stop us from traveling. In Gjirokaster we had great experience at the Airbnb with Breakfast included and we explored Gjirokastra with it's museum. It would have been great to walk the streets of Gjirokaster but we had to a long drive to north ahead of us and we already spent some time in the evening yesterday. Anyway, this is the story of 5th road trip in Albania.

Mountain Driving Challenge Albania | Berat to Greece Without 4x4
We're backpacking from Europe, through Asia to Australia without using airplanes!
One of the highlights during our time in Europe were the Balkan countries. Here we are driving through the rough mountain roads in Albania. Roads barely exist in Albanian mountains and it surely was a challenge driving for about 7 hours in the first gear without being able to change gears! We love adventure but did not plan on doing this type of driving in such remote and challenging conditions!
This video shows us driving from Berat to Greece using the SH72 through Poliçan, Kakrukë, Çorovodë, Fir of Hotova National Park onto the SH80 Përmet, Petran and through Çarshovë. According to Google Maps and our GPS it would have only taken a few hours max... Loads of fun!
