Bexhill (East Sussex, England)

Bexhill-on-Sea (often simply Bexhill) is a seaside town situated in the county of East Sussex in South East England. An ancient town and part of the local-government district of Rother, Bexhill is home to a number of archaeological sites, a Manor House in the Old Town, an abundance of Edwardian and Victorian architecture, and the famous De La Warr Pavilion: today a modern-art gallery – which has featured the work of Andy Warhol amongst others – and performance hall, where the likes of comedian Lee Evans and author Michael Morpurgo have appeared.

Exciting UK Destinations | Explore HASTINGS in East Sussex!

Hastings is a town on England's southeast coast. It's known for the 1066 Battle of Hastings, fought on a nearby field where Battle Abbey now stands. The Norman ruins of Hastings Castle, once home to William the Conqueror, overlook the English Channel. East along the shingle seafront of Stade beach, Hastings Fishermen's Museum and Shipwreck Museum document maritime history.

As for the Norman Conquests, Hastings is not the actual location of the famous battle in 1066. That exact spot is just a few miles down the road at Battle Abbey.

However, its legacy still colours the entire town. The remains of William the Conqueror's first English castle still stand today, though centuries of warfare and erosion have taken their toll.

Today the town offers a range of attractions for the short break visitor looking for what to do in Hastings. From Britain's steepest funicular, to the meandering alleyways of the Old Town, it's a great place to explore for a few days.

5 Top-Rated Tourist Attractions in Hastings

Hastings is an attractive seaside resort popular for its sporting and cultural events, as well as for its association with the famous Battle of Hastings of 1066 (an event that in fact took place at Battle, six miles away). Although its importance as one of the Cinque Ports ended due to a series of destructive floods and repeated attacks by the French at the end of the 14th century, the town experienced another heyday in the 19th century when it became a seaside resort, taking Brighton as its model.
Let's see 5 tourist attractions in Hastlings

1. Net Lofts and Hastings Fishermen's Museum
2. Hastings Castle
3. Old Town

1066 COUNTRY: A WEEKEND IN EAST SUSSEX & KENT

Every time I visit 1066 Country, I fall in love with the place that little bit more. It’s just such a beautiful part of England.

Covering places like Battle, Camber, Bexhill, Hastings and Rye, you’re certainly not short of things to do here too. Leaving the coast, the countryside has so many different activities to choose from.

On our trip to East Sussex and Kent, we visited the beautiful Bedgebury Pinetum, went paddleboarding at Bodiam Boating Station, and went on a food and wine tour with Vine and Country tours. As I said, there are so many things to do in 1066 Country!

Bexhill-On-Sea(East Sussex) Beach Tour, England

Bexhill-on-Sea is a seaside town and civil parish situated in the county of East Sussex in Southeast England. An ancient town and part of the local government district of Rother, Bexhill is home to a number of archaeological sites, a Manor House in the Old Town, an abundance of Edwardian and Victorian architecture, and the famous and most notable landmark is the De La Warr Pavilion today a centre for contemporary art –where Bob Marley had his first UK appearance and has since seen performances by Elvis Costello, Ray Davies, Years & Years, Patti Smith and Laurie Anderson.
It was a very beautiful journey for us to see such a lively place with family and friends. Food was really delicious, and it was one of my exciting tour in my travel history.

Bexhill On Sea, East Sussex UK Travel Video

Short trip in Bexhill where I walk in Town Centre and near seaside.
Bexhill is just 5 miles from Hastings and its the Birthplace of British Motor Racing, home of the De La Warr Pavilion and Guinness World Record breaker for the largest Charleston dance.

Day trip to Bexhill-on-Sea!

Lovely seaside town, and the most worth it two-course lunch at Bistro45.

The audio isn't too great because of the wind speed, sorry about that. :p
