*About:*Schwalenberg is a small town in the Lippe district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located about 20 km east of Detmold and consists of eight communes: Schieder, Brakelsiek, Schwalenberg, Lothe, Ruensiek, Wöbbel, Siekholz and Kreienberg. The town has a population of about 8,400 people.
The town is named after the swallows that nest on the nearby mountains. It has a rich and diverse history that dates back to the Roman times. It was once part of the ancient city of Brundisium and later became a county seat of the House of Lippe. The town has preserved some of its medieval and baroque architecture, such as the Schwalenberg Castle, which was built in the 13th century by count Volkwin III and now serves as a hotel and restaurant.
The town is also known for its artistic and cultural heritage. It was home to a group of painters who formed an artists’ colony in the late 19th century. They decorated their houses with colorful murals depicting scenes from nature and folklore. The artists’ colony attracted many visitors from Germany and abroad who admired their work. Bad Karlshafen in Germany - Thermal and Calm
Bad Karlshafen is a baroque, thermal salt spa town in the district of Kassel, in Hesse, Germany. It has 2300 inhabitants in the main ward of Bad Karlshafen, and a further 1900 in the medieval village of Helmarshausen. It is situated at the confluence of the Diemel and Weser rivers
The town was founded in 1699 by French Huguenots fleeing persecution in France. Though initially named Sieburg, the town was later named after Charles I, Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel, who granted them refuge. The German Huguenot Museum located here contains a picture archive, library, and family histories of the Huguenots in Germany. Charles I, Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel, had ambitious plans for town-planning and developing new water trade channels in the region; including a 'haven' in Karlshafen. Together with his engineer and architect Friedrich Conradi he developed plans for a Landgrave-Carl-Canal in order to avoid customs duty at Hannoversch Münden, but these were never finalised. Plans for Bad Karlshafen, however, were partially completed in a baroque style by architect Paul du Ry in 1717 and the town was renamed as Carlshaven.

Bad Karlshafen is a baroque, thermal salt spa town in the district of Kassel, in Hessen, Germany. It has 2300 inhabitants in the main ward of Bad Karlshafen, and a further 1900 in the medieval village of Helmarshausen. It is situated at the confluence of the Diemel and Weser rivers, 15 km south of Höxter, and 37 km north of Kassel. Large parts of the city layout in the Weser Baroque style with symmetrically laid out streets have been impressively preserved. The main building, located directly on the historic harbor basin, is the former packing and warehouse (today town hall) with a mighty hipped roof and central ridge turret; it was built between 1715 and 1718 and served as representative accommodation for the landgrave during visits. This is where the Landgraf-Carl Canal, which was originally planned as far as Marburg, but was only built until shortly before Hümme, began, of which some relics can still be found.
Trendelburg is a town in the district of Kassel, in Hesse, Germany with a population of 5,282 on 30 September 2009. It is situated on the river Diemel, 29 km north of Kassel.
