Here are 5 Important things to know before visiting Medellin:
✈️Airport: The airport is located outside the city, approximately a 35-minute drive from Poblado. An Uber ride to the surrounding areas typically costs around 100,000 COP (about 20 USD)
🌇Explore the city: While it’s tempting to stay within Poblado, we highly recommend exploring nearby cities such as Comuna 13, Laureles, and Envigado, as they also have plenty to offer.
🗻Guatape: It is best to avoid Guatape on weekends due to the high influx of tourists and crowds, which can lead to long lines, traffic, and difficulty finding accommodations.
🇨🇴Spanish: Colombians are very friendly and will usually try and have a chat with you, so it’s good to brush up on your Spanish and communicate with locals. Bonus points if you know how to dance salsa.
👨🏽🦯Tinder: While you can have positive experiences on the app here, there are bad actors on the app that take advantage of gullible tourists. Be smart & If it’s too good to be true, it probably is.

Belen Medellin Colombia - Where to stay in Medellin Colombia. Medellin Apartments and Pueblito Paisa Medellin Colombia. Colombia Travel to Medellin Belen neighborhood is a must for any visit to Medellin Colombia. Medellin Colombia has many neighborhoods which include pricing from low to high. The city is divided into what's called an Estrata. Estratas range from 1 to 6. 6 being the highest. This simply means that this area's income and property values are the highest. Laureles is a 4 and 5, and again Belen is a 3 to 5. Much better pricing than Poblado, maybe 1/3 and even better than Laureles.. It also offers a flat terrain. Which, let me tell you, is a big plus. So if you're scheduling a trip to Medellin you need to keep this area in mind for a visit. Belen Medellin Colombia is a working class neighborhood or should I say Comuna. If you're looking to apartments in Medellin Colombia, look to Laureles, Belen & Envigado.
Living the digital nomad lifestyle, I had to check out various areas of the city. Other than Laureles, I'd also suggest looking into Envigado and the Comuna Belen as well. Which would be my second and third choices for long term residence. Also, the Laureles and Belen nightlife is great. I would even say more than Poblado. You have La Setenta (70th street) where there's numerous restaurants and nightspots. Calle trente tres (33rd street), where there's even more nightlife and separates Laureles from the Belen neighborhood; I tell you if you have to choose between Laureles or Poblado to find an apartment in Medellin, you should think of Laureles. And between Laureles and Belen to find a medellin apartment, I'd choose Laureles. But Belen would be a good second choice. Also keep in mind Envigado.
I've seen a few of the apartments/condos and I absolutely loved them. If you're traveling to Colombia and visiting Medellin you have to check it out. Check out Son Havana nightclub and also the California club on 33rd. Belen Colombia neighborhood should definitely be looked at when searching for an apartment in medellin. And at a good price. Colombia travel has never been better; you owe it to yourself to check it out. Also check out Pueblito Paisa Medellin when in Belen. It's a replica of an old Pueblo and has one of the best views in Medellin.

This is my hike to Cerro Pan de Azúcar in Medellin, or Sugar Loaf Hill (I said mountain in the video, it's both!)
In the beginning of the video you'll see I took the famous Medellin cable cars from the neighborhood Miraflores to another, Trece de Noviembre. There I started up the mountain, but I accidentally went through the whole neighborhood and met some locals. For the record, I felt totally safe.
The way most people take this hike is the staircase that you see at the end of the video. It also offers gorgeous views, feel free to go up this way too!
It's not a very difficult hike but depending on which way you go, it can be a little steep. I encourage everyone to try it for a perfect day activity in Medellin!

The first one is Santa Cruz de Mompós in Bolivar. It was founded in 1537 and is located near the biggest river in Colombia, the Magdalena River. Then, there’s Barichara, located in Santander ant it’s known as the prettiest town in Colombia. In third place is Honda. It was founded in 1539 and it’s a three-hour drive form Bogotá. In fourth place is Jardín, Antioquia. It’s surrounded by hills and it’s a three-hour drive from Medellín (Watch full video about Jardín: Then there is Santafé de Antioquia. Founded in 1541 and one of the most popular towns in Colombia due to its proximity to Medellín, a major Colombian city (Watch full video about Santafé de Antioquia: The next town is Monguí, situated in the Boyacá department. It’s a two to three-hour drive from the capital and has an altitude of 2,900 meters (9,514ft). There you can find the Paramo de Ocetá. In seventh place is Salamina, Caldas. It’s a two-hour drive from Manizales and known as the City of Light because all the artists who were born there. The last town is Villa de Leyva, located in Boyacá. It’s a very famous town because it’s very close to Bogotá (170Km) and has one of the largest plazas in South America.

La Playa de Belén Pueblo patrimonio nacional | Colombia
A pesar del tiempo el territorio conserva su esencia y tranquilidad, las calles empedradas y las fachadas blancas embellecen el pueblo, en donde se resaltan las casas coloniales de tejas.
En el departamento de Norte de Santander, a 200 kilómetros al noroccidente de Cúcuta, se ubica La playa de Belén. Un pequeño poblado con un paisaje único y sorprendente, el cual hace parte de la red de Pueblos Patrimonio de Colombia, gracias a sus hermosas casas al estilo colonial, calles en piedra, faroles, materas en barro y atracciones turísticas.

Best Place to Find Dates and Meet People in Medellin Colombia (elpoblado,envigado,belen)
Medellin known for the Colombians as the city of the eternal Spring, where as soon as you arrive you can feel the warn welcome of the paisa people. I visited a few malls in Medellin and Envigado like I always do when I visit a new country and I notice the crazy amount of single ladies walking in the mall and how approachable they are. I want to take some time and share some on my experiences with you guys. The weather is amazing , the food is fantastic and the city is super easy to get around, making it one of the most visited cities for nomads, expats, and tourist in general. something that you should not forget is the value of the money, here the dollar goes a long way. During my visit I was able to spend time with my local friends and do many activities that I will be sharing with you guys in this series of videos.

Everyone talks about Provence, that street, aleph of the world where there are restaurants of all kinds —Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai, Creole food—, and these visitors know it better than any country born and raised in the Belén neighborhood.
The place wrote Generation magazine a few months ago, acquired its importance before Caron G's song, but now, when millions and millions have seen the video of Provence on YouTube, and it is one of the songs of the Spanish summer, the place acquires the attributes of a fetish for visiting.
