Staycation E10 | Sommetre Ridge & Le Chasseral
It was the last day of our 10 day holiday in the western part of Switzerland and, of course, we had to finish up with a hike! It was time to head back to the canton of Jura, one more time, to hike up to what is called Les Sommêtres.
To end our trip, we finally made it up to a beautiful lookout point called Chasseral, overlooking the Three Lake Country (Episode 9).
This holiday has been so rewarding and eye-opening. Crossing the Rösti Ditch, practicing my French again and enjoy on elf the most beautiful corners of Switzerland!

Welcome in Saint-Ursanne, considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland. With it's medieval streets and church, right next to the Doubs river and surrounded by nature this small medieval village is still unknown to many tourists outside of Switzerland. WE start our visit outside of the village and make our way to the church and cloister, before roaming around on the medieval streets for a bit of sightseeing. Hope you enjoy coming with us to the village also called The pearl of the Jura.

Mes MONTAGNES du JURA Parce qu'il n'y a pas besoin d'aller loin pour s'émerveiller ! Et dire qu'il m'a fallu 30 ans et aller à l'autre bout du monde pour réaliser oh combien ma région est jolie !!! Mais mieux vaut tard que jamais, non ?
Donc voilà maintenant je le dis haut et fort : vive le massif du Jura ! Oui nos petites montagnes sont belles et chaque saison est un spectacle. Ode à l'hiver dans cette courte vidéo d'une minute, vous sentez la poudreuse glisser sous nos skis, le soleil nous réchauffer sur les pistes et le bon Comté nous régaler ! On est pas bien dans les Montagnes du Jura ??
Vous êtes plus d'un à être venus dans mes contrées jurassiennes suite à notre reportage de l'an passé (ça me fait tout chaud au cœur!).
On espère bien en convaincre d'autres avec cette version entre Ain, Doubs et Jura! Oui le massif s'étend sur ces 3 départements ;-)

Saint Ursanne
Saint-Ursanne is an old town and a former municipality of the district of Porrentruy in the canton of Jura, Switzerland which has preserved much of its medieval character. The town contains many historical buildings, including a Romanesque abbey church, a collegiate church, a cloister, many medieval houses, a hermitage and an 18th-century bridge. The river Doubs makes a loop near Saint-Ursanne before flowing into France.
